Tried them for the first time while visiting during the off-season this spring. It was a pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food! My wife had the shrimp scampi pasta while I had the filet and Mexican street corn. Absolutely excellent! We will definitely go again, and I recommend you do as well.
Casual atmosphere, good service. We ordered the Mac and cheese, broiled shrimp, Cajun fish tacos, crispy broccoli and Mexican street corn. In general the food was above average quality, only criticism would be that some of the corn was overdone/borderline burnt.
We caught the early morning ferry from Hyannis and were ready for a delicious breakfast once we arrived on Nantucket. We headed from the ferry directly to Fog Island Cafe and were able to get a seat right away. Our waitress was pleasant and share the specials with us. I chose to have the Fog Island Fishcake Benedict with home fries. I enjoyed the fishcake and poached egg combo smothered in benedict sauce. I thought that it was a little under seasoned and had to add some salt at the table. My wife had an omelet that looked good and she enjoyed.
Interesting entree selection, but they don't come with any sides. Have to order sides separately, which cost almost as much as another entree. That said, the entrees, and the family style side, were delicious.
So amazing!! And love that it's open year round. Food is great and service it the best!!
