I booked this hotel for my kids’ summer camp . It’s in good location and the hotel is nice. Our family are all big fans of swimming so we booked it for the swimming pool. But after being told by the receptionist that the swimming pool is open and we rushed out to the pool wearing our swimming suits, we found that it was actually closed. There’s one decent guy checking for us and told us he needed to ask his manager. But the pool manager said she didn’t get any emails noticing to open the swimming pool. So we had to go upstairs to the reception to ask about it. Guess what, there is one guy told us to wait for him and he will check with the pool manager, then he just left and kept us waiting for about 20mins! What’s more, after waiting so long, my kids are freezing cold, so we ask another receptionist and he wrote down our room number told us to wait in the room. Then this kept us waiting guy came out from their office room, glimpsed at me and said nothing, neither updating the information nor telling us result communicating with the pool manager. I think he didn’t even ask. He just went away and think it’s funny to keep a foreigner and two foreign kids waiting in this freezing cold room with swimming suits! I have stayed in Marriott in many countries before. Most of them are efficient and professional. However, this time I was shocked and really disappointed.

I am a loyal guest to the JW brand and it was my first time to the Chicago location. The stay was amazing from check in to check out. I especially appreciate the kind front desk staff & leaders for their unmatched assistance. Alondra, Kelly, and Jocelyn were so sweet ensuring everything was seamless & worry-free. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Very spacious bathroom, luxurious beds, and a wonderful view. My room looked directly across the Sears Tower on the high floor! I also want to extend my appreciation to the housekeeping staff. Every time I came back into my room, it looked fresh as though I walked in for the first time. Will absolutely make this my hotel for frequent travels to Chicago.

The room was wonderfully spacious and the beds, extra comfortable. The shower was amazing and I'm still telling people about it. Despite being right next to the elevator, I barely heard it and the same with train outside my window. I enjoyed the view for where it was. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was here for a conference and the meeting space and catered meals were very good. I'd highly recommend staying here

Excellent 👌....the gym is very large with so many variety of equipment. They are clean and quiet. The pool is located in the back of this gym. It's not very large actually but it's sufficient for swim exercises. In the morning, you can get nice crispy apples and juicy oranges on the gym counter.

My stay at the JW Marriott Chicago was very pleasant and enjoyable. I was impressed the most by how courteous each of the staff was that I encountered. From the valet/entrance greeters, concierge, front desk, house keeping and the ladies in the executive lounge everyone showed willingness to help or assist. Now a days I have noticed that the quality of customer service in some Marriott properties has declined but not at this property. Check-in was simple and the staff provided me with my upgrade being that I am platinum member. I ate breakfast in the exec lounge each day and it was good. Nothing for me to brag about but It allowed me to work each morning and not have to leave the hotel for breakfast. I missed the evening snacks as I was out exploring but on my last day caught the afternoon snacks. Great selection and the lounge allowed me to work a few hours as well. The room was comfortable and spacious and I was provided plenty of water and even additional bottles when requested. The elevators were fast as well not having to wait long when using them. Location is also good. Easy walk to some restaurants, a great food hall two blocks away and Michigan Av/Dearborn easy 5-10 walks. Finally, this hotel is close to metro stop which I used to get back to the airport versus uber and it was super simple and only a 7 min walk from hotel. Thank you to everyone at this property and I will see you again.
