I called to see if they had any big chocolate chip cookies with happy Father’s Day on them. I talked to a gal in the bakery Jennifer. She said no, they did not, but she could make one for me. No problem within a short period of time. I said that would be great, it looked absolutely lovely. What wonderful customer service !!!

We placed an order for flowers online to be delivered locally to someone on their 65th birthday. The person never received the flowers and our card was charged. We were told the order was cancelled because they didn’t have the correct flowers. Upon asking why hyvee would not have reached out to see if we would like a refund or a different flower option we were told it wasn’t their responsibility at the store to do this (Angel the floral manager told us this) and when trying to ask additional questions she just talked over us and got louder and louder on the phone. She refused to refund our card and said the online people would do it. As of now nothing has been refunded. Horrible experience. Horrible manager. Do better.

I only ever go here for their hot food. I usually buy the asian food. Sometimes, it's obvious it's been sitting there for a while. The food is decent though.

There was a smoothie on sale for $1.99 which is usually closer to $5 and when my friend asked the manager to rectify the prices because the machine had charged us full price, the staff member in costumer service said “I don’t think they’re on sale, they’re usually really expensive” in a judgmental tone. Then proceeded to say “we’ll send somebody back there to check.” Then my friend went and snapped a picture and proved her wrong. That was a white staff member who showed bias towards a person of color during this interaction. That was uncalled for.

Sometimes the employees seem confused and are not knowledgeable with questions or standard operation. This must be from improper or shortened training. If you're able to be self-efficient and aware of the correct prices you'll be fine. They have a pretty good selection of everything.
