It's not like it used to be. This HyVee on Logan Avenue in Waterloo Iowa has always been one of my favorite stores. There are so many of the original people that are gone you don't get greeted when you come in they look at you like what. You don't get any of them offering to help you. Shane that works in the kitchen is amazing and the man that works with him. The African-American man and I'm not trying to be racist that guy is amazing also. The rest of the staff up front or too busy with their hair too busy with their damn nails. Or they get on their cell phones. I'm sorry if you're working you should not be on your phone. I like the store because it's small and I can get in and get out. But the customer service sucks
The best part of Hy-Vee is Leeann Chin is located right inside. They have a pretty good bakery there. What disappoints me most was the pharmacy a lot of the medications weren't in and I had to wait for them to get filled also they have all of the products that you would think would be next to the pharmacy such as vitamins etc or at the other side of the store! I don't like to try to be forced to shop the whole store when I have no need to.
Not a bad lil town store, if only they would keep up on their exploration dates. We've all but stopped going because we can't seem to buy fresh/refrigerated food that's not already expired 😞
When I go to CF or Waterloo HY-Vee I have no problem finding an employee at a register. This Hy-Vee has employees, but fails to schedule anyone at the register in the morning. I want to spend money, but no one is ready to work. Most day I choose to drive further to CF. Their employees are always helpful and ready to take money.
I hate it's going out of business.. Taking away from ppl who don't have cars or transportation to another store. Plus their building new apartment complex right across the street.. revenue right there. So sad so many years of hyvee.
