Best little bar I have been to in a long time. Food looked and smelled amazing- sounds picky, but good clean oil for frying is found here. A good way to judge the quality of the kitchen is to try a fry. This place has good maintenance. The bar worker was amazing. She was the only server and Got.It.Done! Fast and friendly service.

See final thoughts. See edit below....If I could give zero stars I would. 4/21/19. Easter. Kitchen is closed and that's ok. 5 elderly people in the whole place, we try to order a frozen pizza. The bar tender says she is too busy and it will be a long wait for a pizza. This lady is just being lazy. We usually stop here on out motorcycle rides. Not anymore. We will ride past from now on. I am upgrading this place to 4 stars. After seeing the response and the fact that this place really does care what we think, I decided to give it another go. Very friendly bartender, great food and drink specials. I was a little too harsh in my prior review. This place is alright. 7-28-19 Maybe I was a little to quick to upgrade this place to 4 stars. Been here at least a dozen times since my initial review. Pretty happy spending our money there....Then... bartender is very snappy and not very pleasant. Yes the place is a little busy but she acts like she really hates her job. I dont care if you or your family owns the place, your running off your customers. We...and there is a lot of us, will ride on by from now on. Sorry. We gave this place another honest try but there is no shortage of bar and grills in this area.

The building Hunter's occupied has housed 3 great small town watering holes during my adulthood. Turks, who sponsored a softball team I played on, Cousin's Tap, owned by a childhood friend, and now Hunters, owned by someone else I've known for years. All had that "hanging with neighbors" happy vibe. But the food at Hunter's sets it apart from past occupants. Their pound of peel and eat spiced shrimp special on Tuesdays is amazing. The flavor and fun trigger memories of summers in Va Beach, eating shrimp at Ocean Eddie's on the pier. Thanks Roger and crew. We WILL see you again soon!

Tiffany was an excellent bartender! My daughter had the chicken bacon ranch wrap and I had the BELT (bacon, egg, lettuce, and tomato). Both were delicious. Great happy hour and overall prices.

This this is a local bar and grill, living in small rural towns it is a pleasure to have these places to go to, it's even more of a bonus when the food is very good and here, on Tuesdays it's the shrimp boil, this bar is clean the people are carrying and accommodating, they take pride in their food that they serve.
