Huck Finn's Playland
What people are saying
We took our two-year-old grandson and it was perfect for him. The rides were fun and the appropriate time. We spent three hours there. It was reasonably priced. What I liked most was no teenage rides and thus no wild teenagers in an amusement park! The area around the park was pretty gritty, but it didn’t bother us. Most of the people in the park were a little trashy, but acceptable. The bathrooms also needed some attention.
They offer safe gluten free food (ice cream cones, buns, etc.) they will also have a dedicated fryer soon. In addition, the rides are iconic. The same ones at least 3 generations have ridden! The new owner is doing a great job of making everything look fresh and most importantly, providing shade!!!
Cute little park for younger kids. Tickets and Food items are fairly expensive but considering how everything else is up in price, it is what it is. My reasoning for the 3 stars is the amount of young teens working the park- the training just doesn’t seem up to par for working with the public. I understand for most of them, it’s just a way to make money over the summer, but if you’re working in essentially a customer service gig, one needs to be trained to interact in a positive, energetic manner. Greet the kids and parents as they enter to go on the ride, smile, and check on all riders to ensure they are buckled in correctly if there are buckles on the ride. It was basically the parents that made sure their own kids were on correctly when that should be the ride operator’s responsibility. Same experience with the food booth- lots of young teens, which is fine, but again should be trained to smile, greet customers and have a professional demeanor. Cutlery should be available to the public instead of having to ask for it behind the counter, but perhaps there is a reason for that. *Bathrooms also need more regular checking. We got there 15min after opening and many were not kept up with cleanliness-wise.
Great little place, especially for toddlers & preschoolers. We went today for a special birthday treat and it was $40 for 25 tickets and it lasted us (2 children) for over 3 hours. They have some food, drinks, and snacks there as well that are extremely reasonably priced. Cool train ride going every 30 mins twice around the park so about 5 mins. Bathrooms are all flush and decently clean. Easy parking and convenient location, we will certainly be back with friends! Thanks for a great day 😀
Today 7/23/24: I am glad that Mike and some of original workers are back! It was awesome. I absolutely love this place. Mike, Kyra, another worker whose mother is a teacher, these workers treat my son Jason and myself with 100% kindness and professional behavior. I take my son there 3 to 4 times a week and I probably will have it replace all the other amusement parks that I know. Every time my son leaves the amusement park we know we had an amazing time🏆🎉
