Room service has no manners, walks into room with unannounced without knocking. Happened to me 3 time while I was staying. He didn’t speak a lick of English. I don’t appreciate being walked in on during my stay. I’d recommend avoiding this place
Just an FYI, don’t ever say at this hotel is the nastiest dirtiest rundown hotel ever they brought me use conditioner. There was puke behind my dresser hair in my fridge splatter stuff all in the microwave I owe. I asked for cleaning stuff because there was puke behind the toilet piss on the toilet. It was just gross stuff behind the door stuff in the shower. They wouldn’t give me cleaning stuff. I had to clean my own bathroom. It was an overall nasty hotel and when I told him about it, no refund was offered. The people are so disgusting there, definitely not recommended to stay here
Honestly, this place is awesome for a budget hotel. They are leaning into the retro HoJo look; it feels like you're stepping back into the '60s (not that I was alive for the '60s). The room had cool midcentury modern light fixtures and decoration, but didn't feel dated. Beds were perfectly comfortable, everything worked great even if it wasn't the newest/fanciest TV, coffeemaker, etc. I expected more noise through the walls but didn't hear a thing. I would totally stay here again. p.s. Get pizza delivery from I Love NY Pizza nearby - surprisingly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time.
I visit here often, I love the place. I love the management! The people that give this place one star don't realize they're not spending the money they'll spend at the Hilton. So they probably should go to the Hilton and complain about how much it cost and how little you get for your money because that's a fact and leave Howard Johnson's alone for being what they are. Not a ripoff
Don’t do it! This place is disgusting! The floors haven’t been cleaned in years. The sink and surface areas were sticky. There was clearly minimal effort to clean this room. The room reeked like fresh cigarette smoke. Trucks were coming and going all night too. Horrible experience- I’m shocked that Wyndham would put their name on this dump.
