Homewood Suites by Hilton Dulles Int'l Airport

This was our second Thanksgiving holiday at this hotel for our family of 4 humans and 2 pupsters and we plan to return next year. During both stays, we found the beds and pillows very comfortable and provided good support. The room/bath were clean (and I am the type to wipe everything with sanitizing wipes). We enjoyed how quiet it was...during both stays, we never heard other guests, either through walls or in the hallways. The HVAC is a bit noisy ONLY when it kicks on. We simply turned off the system during the night and remained very comfortable and slept well. The staff were so friendly and professional. Check-in was quick and they even moved our family prior to arrival because they noticed a leak in the bathroom. Loved that they took care of us before we even got there! Finally, the breakfast is one of the best we have had. The items they provided were much better quality than at other hotels that provide "included breakfast". Depending on the day, they offered scrambled eggs, different types of potatoes, sausage/bacon, shredded chicken, etc. The fresh fruit was delicious. They also provided a variety of other goodies. We look forward to returning next Thanksgiving!
Fantastic hotel. The lobby layout truly makes it feel like a home. The rooms are clean and cozy. The staff, particularly the front desk are very warm, friendly, and professional. Housekeeping does an amazing job keeping the entire property clean. The location is great, and the little trail behind the hotel that leads to a cafe and grocery store is a wonderful hidden gem. 2nd time staying at this hotel and it won’t be the last.
Went here for training right across the street. The suite was clean, smelled ok and was spacious. The kitchen area was perfect and had everything I needed. The only down side was the pool was closed waiting for a part. Other than that everything was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ONLY staff issue was the young man that checked me in paid waaaaaay more attention to his texting and cell phone then his job. He was rude in that way but only that way.
Arriving here, the initial impression was of a place aiming to combine business-traveler convenience with the familiar warmth of a long-stay property. Check-in was courteous and efficient, and the lobby carried that understated, neutral comfort typical of the brand. The suite layout offered generous living space and a functional kitchenette, making it easy to settle in without feeling confined. The location was also practical, with straightforward access to the airport and nearby services. The room’s overall cleanliness was good, though one detail stood out immediately—the beds were twins rather than queens, noticeably smaller than what we’ve experienced at other Homewood Suites. This felt like a downgrade in comfort, especially for those accustomed to the brand’s more spacious sleeping arrangements. I found the premium room upgrade (about $10-15) surprisingly worthwhile. It wasn’t just the standard sodas like regular and diet Coke or Sprite, and the usual snacks such as pretzels, chips, Oreo and candy. They also stocked San Pellegrino Limonata and high-quality chocolate, which made it feel more thoughtful and indulgent than expected. Breakfast was fine but unremarkable, offering the basics without anything particularly memorable. Staff interactions were friendly, and the amenities provided were adequate for both short and extended stays. However, there were a few drawbacks: occasional lapses in maintenance, some visible wear in the furnishings, and a sense that housekeeping standards could be more consistent. Overall, it delivered many of the essentials—a good location, practical in-room amenities, and staff who made an effort—but the smaller beds, average breakfast, and operational gaps meant it didn’t quite reach the higher standard we’ve come to expect from other Homewood Suites stays.
Disgusting old facility, my other family members left to the other hotel with disappointment after the first night. I stayed because I used my membership points for 5 days free. This one may lower level than Hampton inn. Swim pool was mulky which I would never dip myself. First day we checked in 505 at 9pm, we found bathroom was shady, room was not clean and shower booth floor was broken and no tiles almost 5 by 7”, we changed the room 101 next morning. Second day night and 3rd day I found multiple bed bugs and roaches, Staff was nice, but they could not change anything, instead offered an option of toxic spray then I had to back to the same room though I could not check out because it checked in the membership points. Hilton customer service also could not take any action, i advised I have to wait for couple days to get an answer with the ticket. I just left Hilton hotel to the Hyatt for the rest of 2 nights before the departure of the international move. I will never go back to Hilton hotel or put efforts into collecting the membership card points. It was not worth staying even for free, I’ve had itches and rashes for 2 weeks during my international travel. Added extra hassles to my own business. There are many other hotels around Dulles international airport. If you are royal to Hilton branch, recommend to reserve to Hampton inn in Chantilly. My family members moved to that hotel after the first night this hotel with own cost, it was clean at least.
