We had a recent stay here and everything was pretty much perfect! They upgraded us to a two bedroom suite. There were only two of us but it was a cool perk, nonetheless. The room was VERY clean, the bed was beyond comfortable and the staff was kind and courteous. The food selection at the complimentary buffet was very nice as well. If we ever go to Albany we will stay here again. In fact, we are going to seek out Homewood Suites in favor of other chains as a result of this visit.
The staff were so lovely especially the service staff at breakfast. However the suite wasn't very clean, the floor was sticky and the suite smelled musty and not as if it had been aired out or cleaned well. The cleaning staff had left a mouldy smelling towel in the kitchen.
I’m Titanium at Marriott, and Gold Hilton. This property is so well managed. Big free spread of food, draft beer & wine. Elegant big breakfast w nitrogen Starbucks cold brew, Pikes Place hot coffee. Fresh eggs, sausage and berries. Also, manager txt me after arrival to make sure I was happy. Who does that? Great staff.
Truly a Humanizing experience. So many aspects of travel can be dehumanizing, but my stay at this hotel has been the polar opposite. The staff is fabulous, everyone is kind and helpful. The pool area is immaculate and nice and toasty! My family and I enjoyed their Wednesday night social, which included free food and alcoholic beverages. Typically when I am out in public, I like to keep to myself, but I have had several interactions with other guests as we were all discovering these amenities together. Breakfast is 4 HOURS LONG!!! Delicious and again, the interpersonal interaction was such a pleasant surprise. You can tell that the staff cares about their guests experience and that Hilton, or at least the folks in charge here, have a vision for how they want this experience to go. Also, great location, super convenient! 10/10 A+++
General Mgr was unsympathetic to our situation. I booked 2 suites and called ahead of time letting them know there was a medical issue. We are from out of state and my great aunt fell ill and they would not be making the trip. When I got here, I asked him if we could not be charged for one of the rooms/suites since we were only using one. He said no. I asked if there was a compromise and he said no. I asked if I could have points due to the unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances that happened around this. He also replied with no. He was unhelpful and without emotion. I chose to stay at a Hilton because a friend raved about their superb customer service. This is NOT what I experienced nor did I expect such lack of empathy and lack of caring from the GM. #NotReturning
