I deeply regret my decision to stay at the Holiday Inn in Arlington, VA. My two-night stay was marred by a series of unacceptable issues that left me questioning the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and customer service. Upon check-in, I was greeted by a bathroom with used towels and a stranger's shampoo bottle in the bathtub. While initially willing to overlook this, the situation quickly deteriorated. The bed sheets were visibly slept in, complete with food crumbs and hair. Most alarmingly, I discovered a bed bug in the sheets - a completely unacceptable health hazard. While the front desk did move us to another room, it too had used towels in the bathroom. The hotel's overall maintenance was lacking, with a malfunctioning elevator and luggage carts with flat tires, making it difficult to transport my work gear. Upon checkout, my attempts to speak with a manager were rebuffed. The front desk offered only a 50% discount on one night's stay, which I find inadequate given the severity of the issues encountered. I’ve included photos and only don’t have photos of the bedbug because I just wanted it gone. After my stay, I discovered numerous similar reviews mentioning bed bugs. I strongly advise potential guests to research thoroughly before booking. This experience fell far below the standards I expect from the Holiday Inn brand.
From the moment we walked in Michael was so kind in helping us by grabbing our bags because the room wasn’t ready. When we came back to check in Karen was wonderful! She was so kind and helpful. She had a huge rush but had the lines moving quickly!
Stayed for 6 nights and had a great experience. Front desk staff was friendly. The shower broke while we were there and engineering had it fixed within 15 minutes. Several great places to eat within a block. Easy half mile walk to metro station. Saw several sites throughout Washington DC metro area and never needed a car.
The hotel is fine, the location is so close to the airport that is the reason why we booked it. It is less than 5 mins drive. The shuttle starts at 4:30 am. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the lobby is always crowded, and their parking is too expensive.
Parked here for DCA travel. The front desk person was rude and incompetent when i came back from my trip. I showed her my email but she kept insisting that I get a room (I didn't book a room or want a room, just to get the parking ticket and leave!). It was like talking to a 5yo. The shuttle drivers were great, and the different front desk person when I arrived was great. Just the one when I returned was AWFUL. The parking is TIGHT but covered so that's a plus. Like the free shuttle to/from DCA every 30 min. If you want cheap parking, it's fine.
