This place offers you a typical Holiday Inn experience. My biggest gripe about my stay here is the room keys. They use older style magnetic keys instead of RFID technology and the keys keep wiping. It doesn't matter where you put it, away from your wallet, away from your phone, the key will get wiped. I feel like I spent an extraordinary amount of time at the front desk asking for new keys. The staff was nice, but I shouldn't have to keep bugging them over and over again. I stayed here for about a week and probably went through no less than 10-15 keys. Other than that, the staff was friendly and nice.
Excellent customer service! In town with several other elderly family members for a family funeral. Customer service was the best, as was the quick and easy breakfast. Great rooms for everyone's 2 night stay. Will definitely be staying here again.
I must preface this review and state publicly that I made a horrendous error in leaving a bad review for this property, (the Holiday Inn Express Uvalde) I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Uvalde on May 6th for one night on business. I have stayed many times at this property, always on business. We love staying at Holiday in Uvalde. I am always greeted with a smile. We are acknowledged and thanked for choosing to stay with them. We are always offered a bottled water and cookies as we are being checked in. Breakfast is great, the hotel is clean, we have never experienced a bad stay at this property. Five days later we began our vacation and stayed in Fort Worth at a Marriott property as it was close to the Dallas Love Field Airport. The stay there was completely different from the treatment and overall great stay I ALWAYS receive at the Uvalde Holiday Inn Express. Naturally, I requested a call back from Marriott to let them know what happened and the reason for my low review. When the Uvalde Manager, Rosalinda DeLeon, called me to ask about my stay and review; I was horrified to learn that I mistakenly left the bad review for my favorite Uvalde Hotel. I cannot express deeply enough how terrible I feel, as I am sure reviews matter, not only on the corporate level, but would mostly affect the local hotel. I will always recommend this hotel and hope to stay many more times.
Always satisfied with my stay at this place. Clean and quiet. Free breakfast is a plus. Friendly staff. The hot tub had no water in it. Not enough towels in the rooms. I don't like how the desk clerk doesn't sit at the desk, but instead around the corner in a separate room...it feels weird to have to yell out to get them to come out....at least get a bell to ring.
I stayed only one night but I was very impressed. The room was spacious, very clean and all the Furnishings were very upscale. The bed was so comfortable and the linen very soft and high quality. I only had a short time in the morning to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. It is served in a bright open space with a TV. Both hot and cold items are available with a great variety of items. Very nice and I would gladly return if I'm in town again
