Holiday Inn Express Miami-Arpt Ctrl-Miami Springs, an IHG Hotel
What people are saying
Dirty…and has damage that looks like is leading to mold. The staff is nice enough, but I don’t think it’s ran well. As a member we’ve been to many hotels this was not a good look. Our guest was horrified. We were trying to get away from the Devastation we had in fort myers… highly recommended an inspection being done. There were dirty panties in our room and while we had plenty of supplies I feel like it was not the best it could be. The breakfast made us sick. Meat seemed old. Didn’t eat the second day
There are pros and cons but our stay was good overall. This hotel is convenient to the airport and parking (free btw) and checking in was fast and easy. Staff was excellent. The rooms, carpet, and tiles are quite dated and old which makes it hard to judge cleanliness but the sheets and towels looked great. Our shower was quite odd. It opened to the entire bathroom, handicap friendly maybe. Husband loved how hot the water was. Overall it was an easy and not an unpleasant stopover on our way to greener pastures.
Once we got a room with a working toilet, everything seemed appropriate for the price. Understanding they are going thru renovation at the time we were there. Front desk assistance was great. Just a little run down for the time being. Breakfast cooked" food quality needs improvement. Mattress old, but again renovation..
The room was clean but, the beds were full size & they kept running out of towels which was very inconvenient. Bring your OWN towels, no small face towels. Bring toilet tissue or ask when needed because you have to ask for housekeeping a day ahead to clean your room. They don't come daily, which is sad. The hotel itself had an odor. Get ready to carry all luggage no carts to help. The staff was nice sometimes, if you see any. Only front desk workers most of the time. Some of the staff wore 😷.The breakfast was Covid-19 😒 meaning limited very limited.
We stayed last week for just one night. Though we usually book through Expedia and read reviews there, we missed out on this as we booked this directly from IHG website and did not check the reviews as we were focusing on other hotel selections in Orlando and new Miami Beach for later part of the trip. Assumed the quality will be fine with the brand name but I was wrong. The hotel is outdated, needs renovation. We had reserved a room with 2 King bed but we got room with 2 queen beds. As we got there late night, we did not bother. Room did not look very clean but the beds and shower were okay and so did not bother. Bathroom floor and toilet did not look very clean though. Breakfast was limited and only offered a to-go bag and they also ran out before my family members woke up around 8am. Drop ceiling fell over the bathroom sink as we used the door in the morning making the tube lights visible. Parking area looked limited. Lobby was quite small. Shuttle was running but we had a rental car and so did not use it. We paid $135 for the night and could have got a better one for that price.
