I was not able to enjoy my stay do to the fact that I was given a room that the smell paint was flirting in to the room. My wife got sick do to the strong smell of the paint. My room was surrounded by freshly painted rooms. I have no idea what kind of oil base paint was used because it smell bad. To make worst the rooms doors were left open. Front desk was no help at first. The guy with the long hair stated that there was no other rooms available what paid for and there where rooms to upgrade me to because they were taken. I went out to go eat and when I return the smell was so bad in the room. I when to the front desk again to ask them to air vent the hallway by opening the stair doors or something. Since I was told there were no more rooms. I was told by a different staff member older chubby man. that they could not open the stairs door for safety regulations. He told me I could get another room in a different room. This was a surprise and piss out point since the other one told me there was no more king since rooms. I move to the first floor but at this point my wife was already sick because of the smell. It ruined her weekend.
Everything was great. The rooms were nice and clean, the food was great. The only thing was that the pool wasn’t clean but overall the hotel was FANTASTIC.
Stayed for one night on our way home from South Padre Island. The gentleman who checked us in was very polite and answered any questions we had. The room was very clean and I thought it was great. Had everything I needed. Breakfast the next morning had a lot of options and was very good. Would stay there again.
I recently stayed 1 night at Holiday Inn Harlingen hotel where we directly booked 2 rooms with Isaac quoting us king executive room at 134 with taxes totaling $154. Now I have received an additional $11.00 x 2 (for each room) approx on my credit card. Upon calling and verifying with Isaac who checked us in , said that the additional amount is the difference what was originally quoted at 143 plus taxes $165. He denied that he had discounted and lied. We rented 2 rooms and clearly Isaac said that with senior/AAA discount rate will be discounted to134! Do not trust the hotel when renting the room, specially Isaac!! Book online!!!
Room was clean and comfortable but allowing children under the age of 10 not only in the hot tub but to eat and drink while in there is a bit off putting
