Holiday Inn Baltimore Bwi Airport, an IHG Hotel
What people are saying
DO NOT STAY HERE. In town for a work trip as a college lacrosse coach and was supposed to stay Friday-Tuesday (6/21-6/25) at this hotel. Positives: rooms were nice, easy check in, everything seemed great night one. Woke up Saturday morning to find my car on 2 bricks and that all four wheels and tires had been stolen off my car. I went to the front desk to ask them to call the police or what I should do, and they basically told me “oh there’s nothing we can do about it, call your insurance. This happened to someone last week too.” No apology, no concern, zero empathy. This does not apply to the woman at the front desk on Saturday evening who was extremely empathetic and helpful, 14 hours after I discovered my wheels were gone. They have your standard anti liability signs in the parking lot so essentially the response I got from everyone was that I’m SOL because the hotel has cameras (albeit, ineffective) and signs up that protect them from liability. Long story short, police investigated and the only “security” cameras are on the front of the building, aimed toward the parking lot, and completely obstructed by two large trees. Completely useless. I spoke with a staff member who said the owner had just been there and was “considering” putting up more cameras. If this kind of incident has happened multiple times recently, one would think some action would be taken. All in all, I am out $1500 for a new set of wheels and tires, ended up putting them on myself because insurance wouldn’t cover it, and had a week long recruiting trip ruined, having to limp back home because of how much money one night at this hotel cost me. For context: I do not have a “nice” car. I drive a newer model Corolla SE that had the basic stock rims on it. Nothing fancy that would attract attention. Very disappointed in this experience (again, with the exception of the evening staff on Saturday 6/22).
Everyone at the front desk is extremely helpful. The restaurant staff were so kind and accommodated our dinner minutes before closing. Breakfast was hot and delicious. The shuttle drivers were great and got us to and from the airport and restaurant safely. I’d stay here again.
Just came back from a long overseas assignment and it was a nice surprise that my office booked me such a nice hotel. The staff was super nice and helped my friends and get booked for the hotel shuttle for the next morning. Beds were very comfortable, normally I am very picky about beds. The room was clean, tidy, and spacious. Also! Definitely worth coming here for the breakfast! Super yummy and the staff members were super nice too! Definitely recommend this place 👌
We had one of the best days ever at this Holiday Inn. What made it one of the best days ever was all of the fantastic people we met working at this location. Donald at the front desk was very cheerful and welcoming as soon as we stepped foot into the Holiday Inn. It was late. We retired and we didn't feel like going anywhere for dinner, but the Little restaurant they have there is really really good. Chris was the waiter and bartender. He was fantastic from start to finish. The food was really good too. I mean we're not talking about a five-star restaurant but for what you get in the service they provided it was top notch. We also needed a shuttle back from the rental car place and an early morning shuttle to BWI. Both were flawless. We were there for a funeral and not having any issues or problems at the hotel was a huge plus.
I stayed here one night while visiting family in Locust Point, where I usually stay. Prices in that area have become outrageous so I took a chance on this Holiday Inn 15 minutes away. I was greeted by Candice, who couldn’t have been more pleasant. She checked on me after I got situated in my room to make sure everything was to my satisfaction and told me to let her know if I needed anything. I hesitated a bit then told her that I had forgotten toothpaste. How snobby of me- I didn’t expect the hotel to be so accommodating. She said “I have it ready when you are.” In a most cheerful way. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed for a nice overnight stay-including free parking, which you will not get in the harbor hotels. For more than twice the money for a little luxury, you can have the Roost or Courtyard Marriot in Locust Point, but this fine hotel is my new go-to when visiting my family, and I’m even a bit snobby when choosing hotels. A hidden gem!
