Phone did not work, tv did not work the first night, hot tub is not hot, front desk is not that bright. Other than that, the hotel is decent. I'm sure the suites are very nice since they are new. Mediocre at best since the price is relatively inexpensive for the area. No offense but I feel holiday inn is a relatively better deal because they have renovated all their properties.
A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, especially if you're flying straight into Sarasota. It's near the beaches and offers a complimentary shuttle to get you where you need to go. The customer service is excellent, and the rooms are beautiful. The breakfast buffet is good, though it is a $16.95 separate charge and not complimentary. Additionally, coffee is only available in the morning, not throughout the day. Otherwise, the customer service is top-notch.
Let's make this easy. 1. When arriving and asking where to park, lady told us "Don't park in the back, it's not safe, we had someone's toils stolen from their car, I'm just being honest". What a welcome. 2. Waking up every morning with bug bites all over our legs, likely bed or carpet bugs 3. Bathroom smells like body odor 4. Toilet seat is broken and painted over 5. Can't use the pool because a lady let her dog swim in it, staff can't obviously fix the water. 6. Pillows causing neck pain 7. Doors don't slowly close, including ours, they slam HARD, this means it wakes us up every night from a out 3am and on (due to other people leaving for flights) 8. No AC in the halls or elevator 9. For a place that allows dogs, you think they'd have dog bag stations. Nope. Bring your own. 10. Lobby furniture was wet due to water leaks and mold dripping from above. 11. Toilet doesn't flush properly. I absolutely disgusting when it matters.
I was hesitant to stay here after reading some of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. My room was recently renovated and was in great shape. My parents room was equally nice. The hotel was super clean, very quiet at night (despite being full on the weekend) and the staff were outstanding. The buffet situation was a little confusing but the employees were amazing. All in all a great experience at this Hilton property.
Honestly, this hotel saved us from America’s best inn (what a horrible place). They had decent prices, booked us right away, lovely front desk. We just needed a place to stay for a couple of nights while we were in Sarasota. It’s 1 minute away from the Bayfront Gardens, 10 minute drive from downtown and the marina. It was clean, no smell and when we stayed, it was quiet. It’s literally across the street from an airport but you don’t hear anything. We didn’t go to the pool as the best beaches are a 15-30 minute drive (siesta beach to party, turtle beach to relax). They clean every other day, but they’ll replenish anything you need.
