We took a 1 day "stay cation" and stayed at this hotel because they had a cute kids area at the indoor pool. We had planned to go to a different hotel with an outdoor water area, but weather had us change plans last minute. I called and booked over the phone and front desk was nice on the phone. We got there and check in was a breeze. We were a little disappointed because we were told the pool was closed for pictures for a couple hours. But we used the time to get our bags up to the room, change, and then went back down to the lobby to check the pool. We were told it would be a little longer so we hung out in the lobby with another family we met there and our kids played together while we waited. The employees came over and apologized for the wait and gave the kids and adults some snacks and beverages while we waited. Finally the pool was open and my kids absolutely loved it! The area was perfect for my younger kids. Also, loved that the pool was open late. So after dinner we went back and they swan until midnight! Then we all had a great night sleep. Beds were comfortable! My daughter keeps asking when we can go back since we checked out.

Stayed here because of proximity to Dickies arena, and because the location felt safe. The employees were friendly and I had several positive interactions They answered any questions I had with a smile. Room was super super clean. Beds were very comfortable. It was so dang hot and humid that one day we stayed inside and napped in the AC all day and I have zero regrets about indulging in the comfort of a cozy bed. We didn't eat the breakfast here and didn't use pool so cannot comment there. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: The hotel has an overall “grand” ambiance, we enjoyed the modern western decor. The rooms are nicely decorated and quiet. Gym is nice and has nice indoor pool. Location was central to what we needed. Cons: Breakfast (which is basically continental) is about $20 a person and that price is not clear (not posted, check in staff did not inform) until you get the bill. When we called customer service, gentleman was rude. Manager did contact us due to the complaint, but basically just repeated that breakfast is not free. Pillows are lumpy. Parking is $15 a day.

Everything here was top notch, including the front desk employees, the location, the room, and the bartenders... I gave Service 4 stars but not because there was a customer service issue. There was not. Everyone working there was pleasant and helpful and looked for ways to help. My 2 issues are detailed below:

This has always been one of our favorite hotels in Ft Worth. We had two children attend TCU, my wife is the territory account manager for fortune 500 company that services colleges across Texas. We have stayed at this hotel dozens of time over the last ten years. We checked in last Friday for a two night stay. I killed 14 roaches during the few hours we we in the room. To say it was degusting is an understatement. I emailed the General Manager Daniel and have not received a response.
