The hotel was average. Nothing special. The rooms need an update. The desk chair had tearing on the chair before I got in. The ceilings are very tall in this hotel though. There was a large amount of kids running around all day and night causing noise. The only saving grace was the ice cream shop across the street.
The room I was put in had a view of some tower (so basically no view). The floor in the room needs to be vacuumed and shampooed. I got into bed and it seemed like there was a hair tethered to my feet because everytime I moved I felt it. I got out of bed and there was what looked like a ball of tangled hair at the bottom of the bed. I screamed because I initially thought it was a bug. Yuck!! Luckily, I had a room with 2 queen beds so I just moved to the other bed. The next day the room was supposedly cleaned and sheets changed but that wasn't the case because the same hair was at the end of the other bed! The covers on the bed were just pulled up and trash emptied in the main room. Also, nothing was done in the bathroom. It was the same as I left it that morning. No new coffee or cups. I was now concerned that my sheets had not been changed since the last occupant (now I'm feeling ill). I was so disgusted! I went downstairs to the lobby and filed a complaint. I asked to have someone come up and change the sheets and get the old towels and bring me new towels. The person in the lobby was very helpful and she sent Tammy and another lady up and they took care of everything. They were amazing! I sure hope someone talks to the person who was supposed to clean my room!!! The food at the restaurant was good. The service in the restaurant was hit or miss. For 2/3 days, I had excellent service. The one day was kind of busy but I sat for a long time waiting for a menu and then a long time waiting for the food. However, the pasta primavera was so good that it was totally worth the wait. I rated the service as a 3 because I asked for daily room cleaning when I checked in, but the only time it happened is when I went down to file a complaint.
Good location, close to restaurants. Staff is friendly, and bar staff even more friendly. The restaurant serves pretty good food. Overall a clean hotel, I will stay here again in the future.
Room was dirty. Staff were kind and helpful getting us checked in, however the room was unclean. We had been driving for more than 24hrs and napped in the car along the way, so I was excited to fresh up, but there were sticky spots on a lot of the surfaces, including the headboards (splatter and drip marks visible when the lamp light hits it). There was also public hair on the walls of the shower, brown goop around the rail in the shower that was easily wiped away, and the bathroom floor was oily feeling with hair and dirt under the sink. It makes me wonder what else there is that I’m missing… I know the staff would have been quick to give us a new room if I had mentioned any of the above, however we arrived late at night after many hours on the road and did not have the energy to address it.
Gentleman at the check in counter (Morgan, if I remember right) was absolutely wonderful. Friendly and very helpful at noticing the room they had us assigned to had not been cleaned yet. He switched rooms for us and gave us 2 complimentary breakfast tickets. I will start this next part by saying I am a stickler for wanting CLEAN rooms, especially when a hotel charges close to $200 or more, which this was with taxes. The room looked ok upon entry, however, the bathroom and shower area was not very clean. There was hair on the rail, there was mold on the wall, a large area, under where soap dish is and beyond. Then upon checkout, I saw they charged for the 2 "free" breakfasts even though they were given the free breakfast tickets. I had the lady at the desk correct that, but she still didn't credit back the automatic tips of $3 nor the taxes charged. Also. There was tooooo much noise in halls during the overnight! I will not choose them on future visits.
