Absolutely awful experience, I wouldn't use them at O'Hare ever again. Just waited a full hour in line, online checking is not working (errors on their side), after getting to the counter and being fully checked in they said stand on the side for another 15 minutes while they try and find a car. Taking 10+ minutes per customer to get a car assigned with reservations. Bunch of clowns running this location.
It was late night at Hertz. I am so tired from long day but Angela the manager who responsible for night shift stayed with me until I get the car. Recommend to rent here.
I am officially no longer a Hertz customer after this experience. Line for check-in was long and only 2 people working .. a third joined shortly after I took this image. The gentleman in front of me said he'd already been waiting 35 minutes. I had a Priceline deal and in the past have had to use the "regular" counter instead of the Gold counter despite being a Gold member. I took a chance and went to the Gold desk because the App I had used the night before to upload all my info to "save me time" told me I was all checked in and to proceed to the Gold board. As my name was NOT on the Gold board I went to the Gold assistance desk. The people in front of me were sorting out 2 things -- having been erroneously charged twice and climbing into their EV to find it was only 15% charged. This took quite a while to sort out. When I did get helped I got told I shouldn't be there and should have checked in at the regular counter due to the Priceline itinerary to which I responded your app told me I was all checked in and could proceed to the Gold board. The woman working the gold desk was not someone who should be working at the gold desk.... while not overtly hostile, she was not at all pleasant or helpful. The only pleasant person in the whole experience was the woman who scanned the vehicle and my license on exiting the rental facility. I returned my car on Saturday and the $200 "provisional" charge on my card is still there as of Monday. What a mess! And pretty sad for a company that used to be the top of its league. Never again.
We had a wonderful experience at Hertz rental! Arriving around 11:00 PM, we took the tram to the rental car location. Conveniently located on the 1st floor, it made the walk to their office much easier. Upon our arrival, Jennifer and Alisha greeted us warmly and worked quickly to get us into our vehicle. They placed us in a brand new Subaru Outback, which had a giant screen display and Apple CarPlay. Their efficiency and friendliness were much appreciated after a long day of travel. Thanks to their excellent service, I will always choose Hertz rental in the future. A big thank you to Jennifer and Alisha for making our rental experience smooth and pleasant!
By pressing a button, technology has simplified car rental. Through the app, I booked a reservation for the 7-passenger SUV. The entire process went effortlessly and swiftly. Once completed, I received a booking confirmation via email or SMS text message, and since I have an iPhone, I stored the confirmation details to my digital wallet. When it was time to pick up the vehicle, I checked in using the app; it was simple; all I needed to do was re-confirm my personal information, driver license details, and payment. When I arrived, I went straight to their garage on level 1. The vehicle was ready based on the monitor directory. Because of my status, they upgraded my vehicle to a Cadillac XT6 2023 in burgundy red. The exterior is in good shape, but the interior might use some cleaning. The driver's seat contains crumbs, and the front passenger seat has suspicious water stains. When I exited the facility, I had to stop at the booth because the personnel scanned the vehicle and I had to provide my physical driver license. Once the details matched, I was free to go. It is simple to return. There is no contact at all; simply park the vehicle in the return lot and leave the key; it is as simple as that.
