I booked a trip with Hertz, they charged me half of the rental that day and I was anticipating paying the rest on arrival.. I get off the airplane from Chicago and I get into my car, as I’m leaving the lot the woman tells me that my “form of credit isn’t accepted” and to park the car. Woman at the desk tells me the same thing although they had already taken money from me.. I was then stranded at the airport with no plan b in mind, the woman I spoke to was not helpful, sympathetic, or respectful at all to say the least! I’ve been calling every hertz’s number available along with my bank trying to dispute the transaction and cannot get a hold of anybody. You can’t even leave a voicemail because their box is full. There isn’t even a receipt on my account, good thing I took screenshots. Not cool hertz. Do better. Especially this one !

Rented through priceline with a good deal. Went to pick up the car and they tried to sell me a liability insurance which i refused and told them i already have one and already had purchased collision insurance . They asked me for my card and i asked if i ll be charged for anything, because i already paid while booking and they said no it’s just for a deposit they hold. After the rental , they charged the card a second time , and refused to reimburse saying it’s for liability insurance. This was the same price to rent the car. Yesterday they charged it again. I guess they really went for their lies. Little do they know i recorded my interaction while being there because of a previous issue and will be suing for fraud. I encourage anyone going there to videotape while renting and asking as many questions as possible to be sure. They are crooks.

My experience with Hertz in Charlotte was great from the reservation to the drop off. Albeit my flight was delayed, I could easily postpone the pick-up time via the app. Once arrived, I could choose any available car as a Gold member (due to my late arrival the choice was unfortunately very limited). No hassle getting the paperwork done, vehicle was in a good condition for its mileage. Return was even easier (just make sure you turn on the second level as the signs might be misleading). I am always happy to rent a car with Hertz again.

I’d like to recognize Ryan Fore at Hertz in Charlotte at the airport. I arrived to the pick up lot and found that my reservation had been closed out and my pee selected car was gone. As each person tried to help, I waited longer with no solution. Finally a manager was called and Ryan creatively found a solution to my problem looking at what was best for me but created a lot of extra work for him. I’d like to thank him for caring and thinking outside the box. Thank you for being a true professional and providing me with world class service .

I’ve been a gold member renting for almost 20 years and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with them! Before pickup I made sure everything was submitted for a easy pickup to avoid the counter, submitted my id credit card chose my vehicle 30 before arrival , received my lot number where vehicle supposed to be located only to arrive with someone else pulling out with it ! The first guy was no help at all directed me to the counter, saying they have to figure something out , then the lady at counter tried to direct me to a different counter stating where I was is for gold memebers keep in mind I am a gold member. Finally the third lady was helping she ended up somehow getting the initial vehicle back I seen the family they gave it to pull back around and park it back where I was supposed to pick it up from and unload there items . Also the return was challenging , I returned at 5am no one was there and there is no after hour drop off or clear directions of how to return . I literally had to leave my vehicle outside the gate with keys and hope for the best.
