You need to do something about the people you have working at this location, there are 25+ reviews all saying the same thing! Outside cleaning $500 when supposedly it was something to do with the inside. If you were really sorry and apologetic this wouldn't be happening! I'm taking this to the next level. My attorney has reviewed my case and all the reviews saying the same thing so it makes for a strong case! I just want my money back and for other people to be aware of what's going on before it happens to them!! It's the same AI generated apology every time too! This is a joke!!! BBB here I come!! I'm surprised they didn't try and get me for all this damage that was there previously!! Haha I took pictures my self before and after receiving and dropping the car off!!?
I just rented a vehicle from them over 4th of July week for 8 days, when I got the car I took pictures because that's what it said to do. The inside of the car was dirty and it looked like someone spilled soda on the dash by the steering wheel. Also it had a wierd smell in the trunk like mildew or a wet shirt. I was in a rush so I didn't make a big deal but it took pictures. When we dropped it off we swept it thoroughly because of the sand from the beach. We get back home and they charged me $500 to clean it because it smelled like smoke and they found and ash in the back seat. I'm a smoker but I had my 2 daughters in the back seat and I don't smoke in front of them so I know thats not true. I will never rent from Hertz again much less the one at the Harlingen international airport! I get that people started canceling because of the hurricane but you don't have to screw me out of $500 dollars so you can hit your quota!!!
Hertz in Harlingen airport location charged me a FAKE $500 cleaning fee. I rented a car at the Houston airport drove straight to Harlingen and turned in the car less than 6 hours after I rented it. I am accused of removing the tint off the windows and they refused to show my any proof or let me see the car. Hertz charged my card multiple times and I even had to change my card number because I am afraid they will continue with these fake charges. STAY AWAY!
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Provided a dirty uncleaned car upon rental pickup that was prescheduled (they said NOT cleaned) and then upon drop off they had the audacity to charge me a cleaning fee for a vehicle they provided me in that condition. Charged me $500 cleaning fee and for rearview mirror (crazy, see other post about ALREADY damaged property)
BIG Texas THANK YOU to Richard & Josh at Hertz in Harlingen , Tx Airport location. They had no inventory available to rent and somehow managed to provide a car for me to rent. Would have been carless if these gentlemen didn’t provide above and beyond customer service. 😊
