Hertz Car Rental - Anderson, Sc - Clemson Blvd HLE
What people are saying
I had a reservation for a rental car today and when I arrived to pick it up, I was told they do not have any cars available. They didn’t even have the professionalism to call me to let me know. So I wasted an hour of my time to drive there. Plus the extra gas spent. The lady at the counter didn’t even seem to care about the inconvenience she caused me. Well they just lost a customer!
Recently had a complicated rental due to recent business structure changes. Due to individual licensee ownership of businesses for “neighborhood” Hertz, one way rentals are challenging. A younger woman (employee) patiently worked out a way for me to execute a one way rental as I was stranded in Anderson. She was tactful, smart and well equipped to solve any problem that location encountered. It’s rare to find high quality staff over the past year. She was excellent and I wish I had her name! Hertz of Anderson, you are lucky to have her! Feel free to reach out to me for more feedback or to confirm the name of your excellent employee. Edit: A year later, the rental above didn't go well because here was an accounting issue saying I never paid for fuel. I was just denied rental with no means to fix the situation.
Do not book and prepay online. The system will take your funds even if they have no cars available, then you’ll have to wait 7-10 business days to see your money back in your account. The staff is rude and not helpful whatsoever. If I could have given zero stars I would have.
Let’s be serious people that rent cars don’t have the best credit history and I was denied a rental car 2 months after I rented a van because of my credit history my scores a 713 I have a repossession 7 years ago and was denied after renting one just 2 months prior!! good luck renting cars needless to say I went next door to enterprise to rent a car WE LOVE YOU ENTERPRISE!!!!
Just save yourself the time and effort and go to Enterprise. When I arrived to pick up my reservation there was a sign on the front door saying that they were closed to help another customer. I called the number on the sign twice with no answer and no option to leave a voicemail. Waited about 20 minutes and then decided to go nextdoor to Enterprise to see if they had anything available. While pulling up estimates at Enterprise someone let me know that they saw someone pull into the parking lot at Hertz. I went back over and the doors were still locked. A FedEx employee happened to be delivering packages and knocked on the backdoor, which was immediately opened. I asked the employee if they were open and mentioned that I had been waiting and tried to call. I got nothing but attitude in return. Finally when the front door was opened and I checked in, it appeared as though the employee was purposely taking his time pulling up my reservation on the computer in a passive aggressive way. Another customer was fully checked in while I was still waiting and then I was told that the other customer got the car that I had reserved. All I was left with was the option to rent a larger vehicle for a lot more money than what I had come in for. At this point I was dealing with two incredibly rude employees with no professionalism. I let them know that I could get a cheaper car at Enterprise and left to the female employee saying, “That’s just FINE WITH US.” I received not one apology for their lack of professionalism or for their wasting my time.
