The store was nice and clean. The prices are a little high, especially for a low income neighborhood. It was nicely and fully stocked. The cashiers were pleasant. I did have a big issue with the produce. I went mid-morning and the cucumbers and the tomatoes we're rotten. I mean if you pick them up they would disintegrate in your hands. I cannot tell you about any of the other produce because this is what I came for so it was I noticed and all I can speak on. I was able to get a FuelRewards card to use at Shell so that was a plus. I lost my old one. And you can get 5¢-10¢ off gas thru going to Shell and Harveys.
Love this place shop here as a kid and still shop here occasionally from time to time. This store for the main Part always have whatever you need. It's not a really big store so everything in here is pretty much convenient and you don't have to walk for one end of the world to the other to get to stuff. we love this store and hope that it stays around for a very long time being that it is only one of the three stores that are left because they closed down the other eight
Manager Matthew Blair, the difference in shopping experience at the Radium Springs store compared to the other Harveys stores in Albany is shameful. The floors are dirty, the store is not kept cool and it is full of flies. This store need to be brought up to the same cleanliness standards for the same shopping experience as the other stores. Your customers deserve better.
My visit was not pleasant. I cashed out my purchase and the cashier gave me my change and began ringing up the customer behind me. I asked the cashier if we are to bag our own items. She stated, " I didn't know u wanted your stuff in bags".......key word is bagS. I suppose I was going to carry five bags worth of stuff in my arms. Anyway, the young lady behind me had to bag her own items too.
Harvey's is the best of the best place to buy groceries. Their weekly specials and their recognition if senior citizens on limited resources are unbelievable. But most of all, are the associates that work there, especially William in the meat department, makes your shopping pleasurable. They are all so nice and will go out of their way to assist you.
