The staff was so friendly here and Check in for once, was the easiest we had experienced in a long time! Hotels have made it so hard! Room was so nice and EXTREMELY comfortable! I want to buy whatever was the comforter it was so soft! Great pillows and sheets I felt comfy and clean at home the whole time! Thank you

Great location right off the interstate. Friendly staff. Clean, well appointed rooms. Very open and airy building in general. Breakfast is great and there’s plenty of seating!

No no no. Don’t be disguised by the overall rating you see at the hotel review. Here’s the up-to-date review of this hotel. We had booked a stay at the Hampton Hotel in Amarillo, TX, but our experience was so disappointing that we declined to stay. Upon checking in at the counter and receiving the key, we were immediately greeted by a strong smell of cigarette smoke that permeated the lobby area. The lingering odor of smoke made it difficult to breathe and created a very unpleasant atmosphere. Additionally, there were noticeable pet pee smells present in the hotel, further adding to the discomfort. The combination of these odors, along with the overall lack of cleanliness, led us to make the decision to seek accommodation elsewhere. Even our children were taken aback by the unpleasant smells and expressed their discomfort. It was clear that the hotel did not meet our standards of cleanliness and comfort, prompting us to forgo our reservation and find a different hotel that could provide a more pleasant stay. Our decision to not stay at the Hampton Hotel was a direct result of the unacceptable conditions we encountered upon arrival.

We had a wonderful 5 star experience during our recent stay. We also left an heirloom baby blanket on accident. To our joy, the staff found it and Beverly, who’s one of the Hotel Mangers, went out of her way to help us ship it home. What a wonderful person and staff. Thank you!!!

We did not actually stay the night here. After checking in, we went to our room. After taking one look at the sheets near the pillows, I noticed dog hair. This initiated my investigation of the cleanliness of the room. I found dog hair in both beds and after pulling the sheets back there were dirty feet imprints at the base of the bed. The carpet had crumbs all over and mud smeared on the tile in the entry way. I would have given the benefit of the doubt if the room was just dirty, but it was "put back together". I'm not sure if house keeping is just severely understaffed, but I was not taking a chance on just switching rooms. Knowing this room was "cleaned". The girl that checked us out was very curtious and professional, explaining that she did not know how to refund our payment, but got us out quickly. After a few days went by, I contacted them to see about getting a refund. Since we booked through a third party it was not a straight forward process. The lady I spoke to (alexis?) was kind, professional, and helpful. I was able to dispute the charge with my card and hopefully that will take care of it. I write this review to bring attention to the specific issue I had in hopes that it will be helpful in reviewing what could have caused this issue in the first place.
