Hampton Inn & Suites Alexandria

This hotel is right by the highway. It is clean and well managed property. The room was spacey and clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. Everything was in working condition. I got a good night's rest and it was very quiet. The property was bit outdated, but it was much more retro than shabby. I highly recommend. The staff was pleasant and the lady at the front desk last night made me feel welcome. The breakfast was out of this world good compared to the other hotels I stayed in this week. There were healthy choices: oatmeal with fixings, toast, boiled eggs, yoghurt, omelet with bell peppers, fruit etc. And you could top all that with a cup of coffee and blueberry muffin. And I was able to watch morning show on TV while eating. I have missed that elsewhere. Plenty of parking. I felt safe. I will be back.
The manager tried to assist with the A/C, which seemed stuck on high speed and wouldn't turn off. Despite the late hour and my long travel day, she found me a new room with an updated A/C unit. However, fellow business travelers should note that this property is very rundown and extremely dirty. The attached picture is a fair representation. I'm glad I had Clorox wipes to make it somewhat bearable before heading to bed. Although this hotel might be conveniently located, seeking other options would be wise.
Very mediocre hotel. Digital key and mobile check in are great but the hotel is very dated and noisy. AC in the room was very loud and there’s a vent near the elevator that is super noisy and blows air on you as you pass by. Location was ok. Mostly in need of a major update. Also price for the room was much too high for the quality of the room.
This place was dirty unfortunately. Looks really good on the outside. I was expecting the rooms to be nicer because the hotel is located in a more secluded area but nope…we won’t be back
I'll get straight to it. Let's start with the room. I like the fact that it was quiet and the air conditioning unit worked just fine which is a plus. But the room is small with the bed taking up most of the space. Breakfast was okay with only one complaint. Which was the bagels were hard. The previous Hampton Inn I stayed in a few weeks earlier in Bossier City the bagels were always fresh and delicious. The front desk staff was awesome and the afternoon treats and drinks were great also.
