I liked everything about this hotel. The rooms were good. Front desk nice and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. In my experience, this varies a lot at Hampton Inns. But here it was really good. The attendant clearly takes pride in keeping the food fresh and hot. As an extra bonus, the Mexican restaurant next to the Hotel is outstanding. Overall, the is a excellent location.
There are great Hampton Inns and there are others. This one is an “other”. It is renovated from an older building with many of the flaws of an old building present. Things like the closet door not staying closed and the toilet seat not staying up. The HI last night had a wireless charging pad and several plugs on the bedside. This hotel ha not even a plug. I had to dig down behind the table to access one. It’s unreasonable not to have plugs for charging and medical equipment easily available when they can be incorporated into the lamp. And in the morning we discovered the bane of older motels, the slow draining shower and sink. The shower was solved by completely removing the drain stopper. Then I noticed the sconce over the mirror wasn’t square which led to seeing the electrical wires had been poked through the ceiling. Rather than run behind the wall to a junction box. Almost certainly a code violation. All signs of renovation on the cheap and not meeting my expectation for a Hampton Inn.
Not a bad hotel but I have definitely stayed at other Hampton Inns a bit more “updated”. In my room, the bathroom lights flickers, sink has a slow drainage, the tub stopper is off, the bathroom door drags against the tile making it difficult to close, shower curtain smells sour, wear and tear on the walls… hotel could definitely use some updating and maintenance work. The Continental breakfast was OK. Enough to get you by. For our 2 night stay the staff were prompt and friendly. Anything I requested it was handled with urgency. 🏨— there is a pool, gym, free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast from 6:30a -10am and a recommended laundry facility if needed. Parking can get crowded and you also have other eateries within walking distance if you choose that route.
Total dog $h!t experience. Rooms werent cleaned 3 days in a row after requesting cleaning and first thing there were crumbs and hair all in the sheets. Had to strip beds and sleep without covers or sheets. Front desk was no help. Kids were rampaging halls until 12:30 AM and no one would say anything to them. Zero stars of possible
I start off by saying my room was comp'd for the first of the following issues I had. It started off with a worker walking into my room unannounced at 11:45pm while I was sleeping. She apologized and stated she didn't know anyone was in the room, but that still doesn't explain why she would be entering rooms that late. Anyways, I got no sleep after that and when I woke up in the morning to take a shower, I grabbed a towel (3 total). The first had what looked like pubic hair all over it. The second had stains. And the third had MAGGOTS crawling in the fibers... I went downstairs to voice this to the front desk but no one was there even after I called and tried to make myself known. Please stay somewhere else.
