As someone who travels a bunch, has ambassador status (with Marriott lol) I was a bit unsure from some of these reviews but I overall had a great stay with my family. The service from the front desk and hotel staff was excellent. I do agree with some of the reviews that the rooms need to eventually renovate but the rooms themselves were clean and I had no issues. Would stay again.
My recent experience at the Hampton Inn in Alice was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. First and foremost, the customer service was utterly appalling. The staff, particularly the man at the front desk, displayed a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. He was noticeably absent when needed, and his refusal to allow me to use the gym facilities was both unwarranted and frustrating. Furthermore, despite bringing attention to a malfunctioning bathroom light, no action was taken to rectify the issue throughout my stay. The cleanliness of the shower left much to be desired, as evident by the visible black footprints left by previous guests—a clear indication of subpar housekeeping standards. The inability of the thermostat to maintain a temperature below 70 degrees, despite my settings, coupled with the pervasive odor of mildew throughout the room, made for an uncomfortable and unpleasant stay. Resorting to purchasing air freshener speaks volumes about the lack of attention to hygiene and guest comfort. Adding insult to injury, the hotel's inflexibility regarding reservation cancellations, particularly when booked through their app, demonstrates a disregard for customer satisfaction and loyalty. This level of rigidity is inexcusable, especially considering the numerous alternative accommodations available in the area. In conclusion, I implore prospective guests to seek lodging elsewhere. The Hampton Inn in Alice falls short of even the most basic standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and guest service. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by exploring alternative options, such as the neighboring Holiday Inn or even budget motels, as they undoubtedly offer a superior experience. This particular Hampton Inn establishment is unequivocally subpar and trash.
We’ve been to several other locations. This one we won’t be staying at again. There was a whole team of kids from a high school slamming doors and screaming and laughing all night until past 2am and some one else was basing music from 8pm to 4am. There’s no room service like they claim. also, no necessities like Tylenol or pepto or Imodium, just Motrin/ and we can’t have Motrin, we’re allergic. They don’t come to make the secondary guest beds or pull out Sofa with sheets, and my kids were given two pillows Total to divide amongst the 3 of them and one blanket. Also, they don’t want to bring us the pillows , they wanted us to get them, however we left and came back from getting food and were told they took them pillows to our room after all. Idk what room service they speak of but…ok. The pillows for the king size bed were tiny for a twin bed, not full sized. The room was not very clean and the furniture is scratched and stained. Stained lamp shades, dusty furniture and fixtures. This is all unsanitary. Isn’t this part of Hilton?? Also, missing tiles and holes in the base boards. We paid for a Junior suite and got something smaller than a motel 6 room. We didn’t not have a happy stay, obviously. And lastly, if it’s a pet friendly hotel, there should be necessities for pets as well. And the view is an eyesore. Good location near food and the tiny town though I guess.
Everyone was kind and helpful. Great service, loved the fresh baked cookies at check in, kept going back for more throughout the evening. Slept well too. The suite was clean and very spacious for our family of 5!
Friendly front desk personal,but when it came to breakfast the woman made myself and granddaughters feel uncomfortable and like it was a bother for us to get breakfast.she was not only very very rude but very unprofessional and kept rolling her eyes at us just made the breakfast experience uncomfortable. She needs to get a better attitude or fi d another job.
