George Bush Intercontinental Car Rental-Hub
What people are saying
Thankful for the help of a stranger. Getting to my car with my luggage and my cane was tricky but easy with extra hands.
It is very difficult to rate a rental car hub. I rented from Sixt. The hub was a ways from the airport but the shuttle bus wasn't much of a wait. There are some escalators, which were a slight hassle. Easy car return, which has more to do with Sixt, I think.
If you're reading a review about the car rental hub, I don't know what to tell you. I use National and there is a robust Emerald Aisle here so you'll get something good. The people are nice. It takes a good 10-15 min to shuttle to and from the airport, so plan accordingly.
Alamo rental is hassle free, and you select your vehicle. The salesman, however, was working to sell as he tried to tack on a $400, but l told him no as l used a credit card, not a debit card. Just because someone looks like you does not mean they have your best interests at heart. Renters, if you have full coverage insurance, it more than likely covers you on any vehicle you drive... don't pay up charges to rent. Have your insurance card on hand for verification.
Typical large airport off site rental car hub. Fairly efficient. Dedicated, separate shuttle busses for each terminal. Large garage for rental cars.
