If I could give 0 stars, I ABSOLUTELY would. This motel needs to be shut down or held by different management. Save your time and go to America’s Best Value Inn. Cheaper, cleaner, NICER STAFF. The staff here is so rude and unprofessional, gives off a bad vibe from the start. The rooms look like prison cells with 25 year old tvs. I left for some food and came back to find things seemed to be messed with like they’d come in here and looked through my things. I felt weird about sleeping in the room so I looked underneath the blanket and was ABSOLUTELY APPALLED. Looks like they fluff out the sheets and remake the bed after guests leave. Looked like blood and other stains I don’t even want to begin to imagine what they’re from. Where the hell are the health inspectors when you need them??? SHUT THIS GOD AWFUL PLACE DOWN. I have absolutely nothing pleasant to say about this dump. Don’t get me started on the bed bugs.
We were moved here by Expedia when motel 6 was overbooked 4th of July weekend and this was a downgrade with a higher price tag. 100 degree day and it was 90 degrees in the room when we finally got in at 11pm. Took a couple hours to cool off. Clean but dated and crusty. Have to give a $25 cash deposit and have your room inspected before you leave in the am which is really strange. Those two factors made it a bummer, and I wouldn't have chosen this option based on the other reviews but we didn't have a choice. No other complaints. Easy location, pool, all the basic amenities, but needs renovation.
Only went to the Red Bluff Ca. Location because I had a coupon that said a room was only 38.99. Arrived at 8:30 pm and was informed that the coupon was " first come first serve." There was one vehicle in the parking lot...So now the price is 45$+tax...then I'm told about a 25$ CASH ONLY deposit...for which there will be no receipt. I was told that the room would be inspected and my money would be returned. The room was everything to be expected...stains in the carpet...bad patch jobs on the sheetrock...single pane Windows...which allowed me to hear every time that someone knocked on the unit next door. Complimentary breakfast? A joke...a cinnamon pastry and coffee is all that was offered. By 7:30am the creamer and sugar was just enough for two cups of coffee and had I not made a remark about the lack of complimentary breakfast would not have received the cinnamon roll. The staff were very rude. The room was mediocre and I would never stay at this hotel again.
Seems to have been recently improved. The negative reviews from a year ago don't match my experience. Vintage everything all works properly. Concrete walls reduce any noises from outside. Cash deposit was a slight hassle, otherwise the staff were all friendly and professional. I hope to stay here again.
