My wife and I have stayed with Frenchy's 3 time's now and have made reservations for our fourth upcoming stay. We are always greeted by their warm and happy smiles. The rooms are nice and cozy. One of my favorite things is getting to visit with the other guess around the breakfast table with good home cooked meals. They make you feel as if you were part of their family while you're a guest in their home. I highly recommend staying with them. They are the first place I check for the availability of a room when I need to stay in Anchorage.
The owner of the place is fantastic! What an adorable man! I felt really special having my breakfast made by him in the morning. The place itself is also very cosy, all decorated to make you feel like you're really in Alaska. It's not close to downtown, so you would spend 1 hour walking or 12 dollars to get there by Uber. It's also wierd that the toilet is inside the bedroom if you're sharing the room with someone.
One of the best B&B experience I have had. The room was cozy and clean. Jeff was welcoming and gave us some good advice for our trip. The breakfast was great too! Would definitely come back.
We were pleased with the accommodations at Frenchy's. They were very helpful in getting us our SIM card, breakfast was wonderful. We had a wonderful visit with guests and Frank, a local artist. When we called from Tobiak to book for the same night, they accommodated us. It was a lovely walk from Frenchy's to the Earthquake Park. The price was very good for us - better than an expensive hotel.
Small, comfy place. Warm hospitality. Jeff as a host was wonderful, cheerful and informative. Place is safe & clean. Very close to airport as well as downtown. Almost in d middle. Taxis both ways cost between $10 and $ 13.5. V had a chance to.meet Frenchy d owner of d BNB. She was extremely warm and hospitable. Being vegetarians we cud eat only bread, hash potatoes, juice, yogurt n preserved fruit or fresh bananas n oranges. Ofcourse, d option of cereals was there too. Wud recommend d place Again. Good to have a room on d ground level...
