Good service and great food. Our servers were attentive and we were seated promptly. I got the Ribeye (pictured), it was cooked perfectly, right on the requested term. The clam chowdqer was very good too. I'm from Florida, so won't be back for a while; but when I do come back, I will surely stop by.
Salad or soup & bread came with our dinner entree. Salad with a house vinaigrette was excellent. Bread was crunchy outside & soft inside, perfect. Soup was a Cajun tomato bisque? Lots of herbs & some spices, very tasty & different. The steamed clams was OK, small & not Manila clams. Sauce was tangy & sour, not butter & white wine. For entree I had the pasta with added steak. The steak was the highlight, tender & tasty - grilled to perfection. Wife had chicken Marsala. Chicken was tender & mushroom wine sauce was a killer, wanted more sauce. Green beans & mashed potatoes were fresh & cooked well, maybe a bit more salt. Overall 2 thumbs up. The local draft beer was strong & smooth. As you can see, portions were huge.
Awesome, vintage elegant atmosphere, wonderful service, great steaks, pasta dishes, chicken, and more! The array of wines is vast and the cocktails are amazing! Also, don't forget their made from scratch desserts! Great place to have a couple of cocktails and a delicious meal. I would recommend making reservations ;))
Savoury is a hidden gem for Yosemite tourists. It's a quaint American restaurant serving hearty comfort food, but prepared with great care. The restaurant staff and ambiance are very welcoming, relaxing, and kid friendly.
The food was delicious. We had the clams and Portobello mushroom for appetizer. Both were really nicely prepared and presented, very nice flavors. We then had the pork and orange chicken. Both were amazing, both meat were tender and well prepared. The entrees also come with a choice of salad or soup. The salad was very nicely presented and had a nice mixture of greens, feta and other veggies. The split peas soup was tasty and not heavy. The portions were also quite substantial. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. The setting is very elegant and quite intimate. My only negative is that maybe it was a bit salty overall as I could feel it the next day with slightly puffy hands. But most restaurants are using too much sodium in their food unfortunately nowadays...so this is most likely not exception.
