Freds is my favorite place to grocery shop! Great sales regularly, good selection of groceries & nice selection of produce. You can find fresh Horseradish root occasionally!

Shopping at Fred Meyers’s this morning was a challenge. There was only ONE checkout isle open and nobody in the self checkout. One overwhelmed employee struggling to take care of his long line of shoppers. This store is grossly understaffed. Not a pleasant experience waiting so long to pay for groceries.

We recommend Fred Meyer (aka Freddy’s) if shopping in Soldotna. The prices are better than Safeway on most items. Walmart is a 20 minute drive so Freddy’s is great for groceries, household items, fishing licenses and more. 🎣 They also sell home furnishings as well as sporting goods as gas. Sign up for Freddy rewards for discounts on gas and groceries. It’s worth it.

Lucki was the absolute best at helping us check out! She made sure to remove all the security devices and got us an extra awesome coupon. This store has a real gem in that associate.
