Frank D. Harrington Park
What people are saying
This WOULD be a nice little park, but it's identify crisis makes it a total mess... It want's to be a place for you to sit down at the tables and enjoy a lunch or snack, but then it also wants to a space for people to let their dogs leave a fat fresh steamer. Pick a side. IMO it's best as a little sit down and eat / event space, as there is an actual dog park only a few blocks away!!
Public parks are special no matter what but this spot in picturesque downtown San Carlos is a memorial to a long-serving law enforcement officer, Mr. Frank D. Harrington, who was born in 1940 in the midst of the Second World War & who served his community faithfully for 45 years. I wonder how many high-paying tech executives & software engineers will ever work for so long at a single company. Likely none. And I have heard that Meta (aka Facebook) has a publicly accessible postage stamp-sized park on its phenomenal new corporate headquarters. Trust me when I tell you on Google (aka Alphabet) that Frank’s park is better.
Nice little quaint park. Easily missed if you weren't walking by it. Has several comfortable iron benches lined with shady trees and even a well covered stage area with two tables.
Tiny and cute park. Wheelchair accessible. Lots of shade and flowers.
Nice little Park. Interesting warriors sculpture.
