Fitzgerald Theater
What people are saying
I came here to watch a documentary showing with a friend. The venue was spacious and had easy access to restrooms. Seating was slightly confusing but staff assisted in helping me get to the right section. I sat at the very top and in the last row of seating and still had a great view, so I imagine a bad seat in the house isn't all that possible. The bathrooms were small but that's whatever to me. The sound was great and was able to accommodate a wide range. My friend was also able to find reasonably priced parking near the venue and that was super convenient. I don't make it to events in Saint Paul all that often but Fitzgerald Theater has given me a reason to be excited to return. 5 stars from me!
Fun muppet boxes, rich, red velvet curtains, carpets, and seats, and other vintage details will transport you to a bygone era. The theater was built the 1910’s and it supposedly has two of its very own ghosts - Ben, believed to be a former stagehand that froze to death outside the back door, and Veronica, a former actress. It’s a cozy, little (literally the balcony seats are 🥵) theater venue with so much history. I’d recommend eating something before you go because food and drink options are limited but there is a small bar with drinks and snacks.
Beautiful theater! Can take these cool spiral stairs to the top and see out over the theater from above. Lobby and waiting areas pretty small but seats felt better than average for a theater. Great show from the Letterkenny folks!
Beautiful building, saw the 50th anniversary of the prairie home companion. With all old buildings there are quirks, our front row on the 3rd balcony had a bar in front of me that covers the middle of the stage. Getting to the bathrooms was Interesting on the second floor. Good sound and stage
Nice old theater. One of my favorite indoor venues in the area. There is a parking ramp nearby to accommodate, and a few restaraunts and bars within walking distance. I like that when you buy tickets online, they give a nice virtual view of the theater, and allow you to select the seats.
