First Sergeant’s has the best fried fish! I always come by for Fish Fry Friday. I ordered a catfish platter with white bread of course. Large portions, so it's worth every penny. The decor is totally appropriate. Love the military service theme decorations. It is also a big hit within the community. Five stars ✨

First Sergeant’s Smoked BBQ is not only incredibly rich with flavor but also rich with military history. The owner and staff are VERY accommodating and fully support local units and patrons of Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Highly recommend for any events, it’s a great venue. Also, I would strongly encourage anyone (those new to the area and any leaders) to visit and learn about the military memorabilia. PS-food was so good I devoured before sharing pics of the 82nd dog, cornbread, and fried okra 🤷‍♀️

New dude at the counter did a good job even though you could tell he was a little nervous. Customer service 10/10! The food was just as good. The pulled chicken was juicy, a little too juicy because the bottom bun couldn’t handle it and was falling apart. Mac was amazing even with the burnt crust. Baked beans were nice and smoky 10/10 Only thing needing improvement was the bun.

Can't go wrong with chiily, cheese, pulled pork, fries, coleslaw and BBQ sauce to top off your hot dog!

The best damn food I’ve had in a longgg time! Mom & pop shops like this are what we need more of in America. Kind staff. Prices were very good! The beans were to die for!! Customer for life every time I work on post. Don’t change a thing!
