Finallllly!!! A GREAT place for awesome breakfast, brunch and lunch downtown. Something I’ve been wanting for years!!! Beautiful atmosphere with super friendly staff. Wonderful fresh juices and fantastic food. Pork belly was great and so was the eggs and steak! Now I just wish they were open for dinner!! Will definitely be back again. Happy Cedar Falls finally has a unique destination for breakfast, brunch and lunch!!
Ridiculously delicious!! Green Eggs and Ham plate was so flavorful (pan grilled bread with pesto, prosciutto, farm fresh eggs and arugula) and all the ingredients were very fresh. The servers were friendly and the cafe was bright, clean and beautiful. We had silverware (contrary to a different review), very little wait time and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful.
In Iowa for the week from Detroit, MI and this place is fantastic! Not cheap, but I didn't expect it to be as it's a locally sourced business, but the food and service is definitely worth the price. If you're reading this I INSIST that you try the Avocado Toast! The bread is astoundingly savory and the pickled onions(?) and lemon zest create a very well rounded dish. The plating is beautiful with every dish I saw there, sad I only tried one! Also Sydney is a freaking saint! Such a lovely waitress and worked with everything my colleagues and I asked for and she holds a great conversation :) Will definitely be visiting again if I come back to Iowa in the future!
Great location right downtown, and the interior was bright with natural light with a nice open-concept dining area. Baked goods were delicious, as were our breakfasts. Excellent coffee, as well. Price is very reasonable for the quality of ingredients and how good the meals were. I'm really excited to have a great breakfast option available downtown, and I'm looking forward to trying their lunch options.
Had a lunch date with a friend and it was a first visit for both of us. She's local and suggested because it's new ( It's important to try to support local business so they can survive). It's a quaint cafe style with yummy looking pastries. It's quite small (our table barely big enough for 2 plates and 2 glasses) and could probably have touched elbows with the next table. This isn't worthy of losing a star but mentioned for people who might be uncomfortable so close. The menu is fairly limited (and possibly will change with the seasons?). My friend had the burrito ( I didn't try it because I don't like peppers and onions, but it looked yummy!); and, I had the French toast (mine was fantastic! No syrup and it doesn't need it. Light whipped cream with fresh raspberries and blueberries!). I am quite disappointed in myself for not having taken a picture. It took some time to get our food; but, it wasn't terribly long (and we were having a lovely visit anyway). We were there just over an hour (so maybe 30-40 min for the food?). Price is a bit over average, except they use fresh products, which cost more (and taste better). Our bill was just under $25 (just water to drink) And I left full and very satisfied.
