I have been picking up Family Dollar’s trash for a while now, the one located on Airport (6220). If I don’t, it all blows into the creek I’m trying to keep clean. Today I simply went into their store to tell them that if they don’t start being more responsible with their waste, they may receive a fine from the city. All hell broke loose. I had the manager in my face, along with the Pueblo manager in my face, and they basically ran me out of the store saying they were going to call the cops, etc. Just wanted to share the pictures so people know what they’re supporting when they shop there. I already forwarded them to corporate after a nice phone call.
Family Dollar no long exists. Although the name is still used, nothing is a dollar anymore. Most item prices are compatible with convenience stores, ie: 7-11, Loaf n Jug, Kum n Go. But there are more selections and variety of goods broader. There are some items priced at $1.25, so do some investigating before investing. Otherwise the store is clean and organized and the staff friendly and helpful.
Lady was not nice. Came in at 8am, walked in. Hello! Good morning! She didn't say a word... went to cash out. Mentioned it and was just rude and defensive. I am not sure why it is so hard to say hello to a customer. But I won't return here because of this.
I love my little local Family Dollar (most of the time!) and it really works for most needs. My challenges, specific to just this location, is the unpredictable hours they keep despite the signage! I went today to grab a last minute item at 8:56pm and they were already closed although advertised hours state they close at 9pm! NOT ACCEPTABLE!!
Nice place friendly staff been a regular customer more than 5 years. Policy for people wearing a backpack to leave it by the door but I've never left my backpack by the door. Today one of the staff shouted at me from across the store I couldn't come in she wasn't going to serve me and basically treating me like as if I was a brigand. Suggest first you should never shout to loyal customers and second if you want people to leave their belongings "by the door" then you must provide a secure place for them to do so as leaving customer belongings by"the door" is not safe and you are being unreasonable.
