I rented a car in Oct 2023 (a Honda). One morning it would not start, not even a clicking sound. Tried jumping it, still nothing. Figured the key fob died because couldn't even open the trunk with it. Called Enterprise and they said they would send a tow truck and another car would be ready for me at the rental office. I got a ride to office before truck got there and was told I couldn't get a replacement until they had possession of the car. I was stranded there so they drove me back home. The tow truck driver seemed perplexed on why it wouldn't start and even had difficulty figuring out how to tow it. The next day Enterprise claimed I caused undercarriage damage (from running off the road perhaps -- which I never did). I'm absolutely convinced the damage happened during the tow and was billed over $2k for repairs. I was on phone with the Enterprise Damage Recovery Unit several times explaining what I believed happened. They did admit it was "possible" it happened during the tow but I was still responsible. Only in my last call was I told a third party does the towing but no offer was made on how to resolve it. We always rented from Enterprise -- but never again.

In my 20 years of renting cars, this place provided the worst experience. While the front desk staff were professional and courteous, the problem lay with a manager or supervisor in the back office. My car was damaged from a car accident. After sending it to a nearby dealership to repair, I walked to this place to rent a car. After explaining my situation with the front desk girl, she said the only car available is a Ford Mustang. This back office guy then secretly waved at her. Realizing I also saw his gesture, he made up an excuse saying something is wrong with its tire. Then the front desk girl checked and said only car available is a Jeep pickup, we proceeded and finalized all documents to rent this Jeep. Just when we were about to walk to it, the back office guy intervened again. She then came back telling me she cannot give me that Jeep, instead the only car she has is a Nissan pickup. I ended up having to drive that relatively old truck home, only to find it is full of cigarette smell, which was not disclosed to me at all. It became evident that the back office prioritized profit over customer satisfaction, revealing questionable work ethics.

I appreciated how fast it was to rent a car and each interaction with customer service was helpful they provided me with all the information I needed and the best deal for since I was renting for an unknown amount of time. Returning the car was a pretty quick process as well. I will rent at enterprise in Ann Arbor on Jackson Rd again.

If you expect to be picked up (as the company motto would imply) don't plan on renting for Saturday, they "don't have anyone that can do that" on Saturdays. They also don't seem to care what an inconvenience this is, as the lady on the phone seemed surprised you might expect them to adhere to their advertising on their website, as well as the checkout page.

The vehicle that they tried to give me is not what I reserved. I paid to upgrade ($200) which I shouldn’t have had to do. I sent an email and didn’t receive a reply. It’s been two days.
