The hotel looked beautiful minus the covering on the ceiling. However, the restroom smelled like mold and messed with my mom’s allergies. I told the front desk and they were nice and had the cleaning crew clean it. However, when we came back to the hotel after the cleaning the mold smell was strong in the hallway and could also be smelled inside of one the rooms; the smell returned to the restroom in the morning as well. In addition to that, there was a used dental floss pick on the floor from a previous occupant; the cleaning crew did not clean well. Furthermore, the couch bed was so uncomfortable that the kids did not even want to sleep on it.
We have stayed here many times -the last being three weeks ago as we always stay the night before our flight and leave our car, parked for the duration of our trip and take advantage of the shuttle service. - up until today…. We have been able to park our car for five dollars a night while we are traveling . Today when we checked in, we were blindsided and informed that it would cost $20 a night to leave our car here whereas parking it at the San Antonio airport for the duration of our trip will cost anywhere from $10-$16 a night. ….. needless to say this will be the last time we stay here before one of our trips. Upon talking to management and calling the general manager, there has been no signs of competence or caring about the situation. To raise your prices that much within a three week period without informing guests is absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for.
Disappointment is not near how I feel right now. I could cry from this. The restroom was dirty and very sad with the quality of the room based on how much was charged for it. Sofa uncomfortable. The only good thing I can say, is the buffet. Update to my review. Happy hour was just what I needed to forget the beginning of my stay. A candle helped with the smell. The bed is very comfortable. Like laying down on clouds. I did adjust my rating as, anyone could have a bad day, they do get a second chance. This was my second stay. The first stay, went well which is why we came back to this one. The staff are friendly and presentable. The lobby is very clean. The little store they have is cute. Again! The buffet is amazing. The omelets are to die for.
I recently traveled to San Antonio and stayed here for one night. I spent a lot of time trying to find a good hotel to stay at, given that the reviews for nearby hotels were not good. I can say I was not disappointed! I booked online and came in to get checked in. I was automatically acknowledged and waited to be assisted. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The suite was actually a suite. Not like other hotels where everything is in one room and they call it a suite. I stayed along with my baby and toddler and it was very spacious. The bassinet fit perfectly and the bed was comfy. Overall the room was very clean, but it could use some updates. The main thing is that the shower and tub were outdated. At first we thought there was hair on the tub floor but looking closer it was just scratches. Other than that, everything was great. We also received a text to ask if we needed anything, which is great and shows excellent service. They have several amenities that I didn’t get to use but overall I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend!
I came to this Embassy Suites in San Antonio a couple days ago for a work related trip. So far it’s been great. The location was only 5 minutes from the airport which was great after arriving late due to a delayed flight. The free breakfast option had been excellent and I’ve gotten made to order egg white omelets every morning for breakfast. The hotel restaurant and bar the E’terie also has good food, especially the Salmon and quinoa bowl I ate for lunch yesterday which was light, yet filling and flavorful. There is also a shuttle that will take customers within a 3 mile radius of the hotel, which is helpful since the area is not walkable and located off the freeway. You also can’t beat the evening reception held nightly at the restaurant with select adult beverages and snacks.
