East Potomac Park
What people are saying
A great park for walk, picnicking, riding bike, driving around. We drove around during Cherry Blossom and was really awesome to see the lanes cherry blossom trees both the sides of the road. In the evening there is hard to find a parking on a weekend, specially on holidays but if go a bit down you will get one.
Love this place always plenty of spots to fish. Of course we have special spots that produce more than others. It can be quite crowded on a nice weekend. We typically go in the evening.
The initial bits of the park were full of parked cars, around 11 a.m. but if you travel further down there was tons of free street parking with no time limits. Only stipulation is to not park between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. I believe. Super pretty area looking over the water. Cherry blossoms lined the whole pathway of the park. About 15-25 min walk to public restrooms, tidal basin, and thomas j memorial. Brought my dog with no issues.
Beautiful park to have get togethers, throw a line out, chill read a book, take a walk/jog ride ya bike.. there’s restrooms in the area..
The park is clean and a great place for families. Safe place. I love everything about this park.
