Earl of Sandwich
What people are saying
This restaurant located at Newark-Liberty International Airport United Air Line Boarding Area. This is my first travel pass here and order Tuna Melt Sandwich. Food is delicious. I can get the free Airport WiFi. The restaurant service is good. You can order beer from this restaurant also. Itβs really convenient. I like it!πππππ
This is a sandwich place, that's kind of famous - there's a whole legend behind the chain, almost fascinating stuff, really. Unfortunately, that doesn't change the fact, that the sandwiches aren't that good. There's a lot of stuff in them, and they're pretty meaty alright, so you probably won't leave hungry... But the taste is average at best. Of course, it's an airport restaurant, and because of the renovation going on, it's the only one in the terminal/concourse. All things considered, could be better, but could be a lot worse. Still decent price per value.
The thing about Newark airport is that it has the lowest available restaurants in the terminals area of any modern airport of the world. It has this Earl of Sandwich, and a convenient store and that's it. So prepare to overpay for a mediocre sandwich here because you don't have a choice. Also, don't try to order if your flight is taking off in less than a half hour because you will have to choose between boarding your flight or getting a sandwich.
Service was quick and the server was nice. It was very busy the tables are small and jammed together. The coleslaw was good but it was a tiny serving. The chips are kettle cooked which is a plus for me. You can also get sandwiches to go and eat out in the terminal.
Simply the worst airport food I've eaten in years. For the first time in as long as I can remember, the coffee was literally undrinkable, and the omlette only related to the real deal in that they both contain carbon.
