10 out of 10 DO NOT recommend. I wasted more than an hour because I rented a car at Newark Airport; Drivo is located off the airport property. You have to call to have the van pick you up. Tremendously inconvenient. At least a 15+ minute wait on the van after I trudged to the airport rental car area, only to find out Drivo was not there. I booked through a popular online site that didn't name the agency until after the booking was confirmed. May be the last time I book third party for EWR Airport rentals. If you are booking with Drivo, make sure you allot plenty of time for pick up and return to the airport. Booking one of the agencies at the airport will save you time and effort even if you pay a bit more. NOTE: You Do Not want to return a car after hours to this location especially if you are a woman. I'm typing this as I sit on a concrete step, waiting for the van to take me back to the airport. Been waiting 15+ minutes; no van in site. Also, the car I rented was a 2020, old by rental car standards. The air conditioning did not work well on a 90+ degree day. There were a lot of scratches, paint chips, rust marks on this car. Take plenty of pictures before driving off the lot, if you decide to rent from here.

Excellent Customer Service! First time trying them & I will definitely be back!! 5⭐➕➕!!!! Shanooda was super kind and helpful! This may not be the first place you think of when renting a car, but I can assure you, if you've booked with them, you will find your experience to be remarkably pleasant. I was surprised to hear that the Rep(Shanooda), upgraded my vehicle at no charge and made sure I was in and out. No hassles, no fine print nonsense, no complaints about scratches upon my return. Just great service. They have an endless inventory of clean quality vehicles and operate effectively. I have added pictures of the facility, employees, the lot & some of the vehicles for you to see. 5 ⭐➕➕➕➕ experience and I hope you also have a remarkable experience with Drivo. I will be back for sure. Thank you Shanooda & THANK YOU DRIVO FOR MAKING MY CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EASY & GREAT! Best -Tarek

Horrible experience with Drivo. A complete eyewash! CAUTION: Firstly the car rental pickup is not 7 mins...Stop fooling people. It is as follows: 15 mins walk to air train from EWR terminal. Plus 8 mins onboard air train Plus 20 mins wait for bus shuttle Plus 10 mins drive with bus shuttle and then you reach DRIVO office. So that's a total of 53 mins.. PROVE ME WRONG PLS! NOW THE MAIN BATTLE BEGINS!!! As you reach frustrated at their faaaaaar ground counter you would be welcomed by an understaffed office with good employees though that will make you wait another hour or so to get you a car. Then they would scare you, sell insurance at expensive rates. Offer options as they don't have same cars that you will book :)) Still with some hope & patience you want to get out of that place and that's exactly when the real nightmare strikes in--A shabby old full size replacement car that stinks of cigarette and has noise in suspensions. P.S They have no smoking policy which I believe previous renters must have exploited but come on guys CLEANING AND SANITIZING is very important. Such a shame.

They are very tricky with the wording of “special offers” and “discounted upgrade.” Apparently the mid size sedan we reserved was still being wash so I was offered an upgrade to a Toyota Camry. The guy kept going on and on about how lucky we were to get this car for 10 dollars a day. “Wow! I dont know how this is possible, but you’re getting the car at a crazy deal” is what he kept saying. Then I was not shown an itemized invoice at the office. When I got the email with the agreement I can see that what he really did was sell me an upgrade for 10$ MORE a day. So it’s around 50$ a day instead of my original expectation of $15 a day. 10$ more should just be 25$ a day but then there’s 100$+ in nonsense fees (facility charge: 4.50 a day?) Anyway, I won’t be trying to hard to get any retribution for this. But the least I can do is warn you. They are nice and friendly and helpful… and devious. Watch out.

Terrible experience. Two stars because we received a rental car that got us where we needed to go, but it smelled like cigarettes. Outside of that it was awful. I rent cars regularly as I travel for work. The process at the counter was overly complicated and you feel as though they are trying to trick you into spending more money. I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong and had not followed instructions. Had to get on the phone with my insurance company to provide them with information to avoid paying an extra $30/day. I went back to the booking details I received to show them that the instructions to provide car insurance were not there, and they snapped at me that I needed to read the instructions before booking. The actual rental agreement was not available to read - we had to sign on an electronic pad that did not show the agreement. Another customer stopped to read the printout after signing and he was given a hard time for reading it. I told the agent he needed to give the customer time and the agent yelled at me to mind my own business. Absolutely terrible experience.
