DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport & Convention Center
What people are saying
7JUNE2019 Nice location and not too far(driving distance)from some restaurants and shops. Parking is paid separately and the guard give you a paper to put in your window. If you don’t put that paper in your window, you will be paying daily. The lobby is spacious and a lot of great setting. The staff are so professional and friendly(at least when we were there). The vending area is nice and has a nice selection of sodas and waters. The ice machine is directly beside it. The pool area is beautiful and the hot tub is close by. The seating around the pool is nice. The landscaping is beautiful. The hotel is connected to a mall and convention center. The shops in the mall have a few in variety and some are closed(due to not being ready to open). The convention center is a nice size. The fitness expo was awesome and busy with so many great vendors. Wonderful visit here.
At first I wasn't sure whether to stay here or not due to some bad reviews I read. Not sure what happened with the people who put in bad reviews but this place was very welcoming since we checked in, lobby did not smell like some people have put in their reviews. Place was clean and I am a very clean person. Our room was also clean and beds were amazing. Edwin the bartender is amazing. Great customer service. Was very attentive and friendly with us and made us feel very comfortable. Will come visit back again.
while i don’t travel often, when i do i stay at Hilton, and this is by far the worst i have stayed at. check in took almost 2 hours and other than the lobby area i felt like i took a time machine up to the room. way outdated and lack luster. do not like that there is only 1 CLOTH shower curtain, after every shower the bathroom floor was absolutely soaked from the water leaking through the curtain. desk was sticky no matter how many times i whipped it and the tv sucks. $30 a person for some mid breakfast after waiting way too long for a table. overall this hotel is very outdated and needs to work on guest service.
Went down for the July 4th weekend, rooms were hot boxes, the Central air was built into the wall next to the window with only two vents. Not sufficient to cool the entire room, especially after someone took a shower, the system was down so we couldn't get keys and had to be let in by security each time we went out, the front desk never told/offered breakfast vouchers which was odd that it was needed to get the free hot breakfast, otherwise your paying, the parking was $15 a night for valet or $10 for self parking. All and all don't plan to ever go back there. The staff was doing their best to be helpful but after my experience I wouldn't recommend.
Nice and clean. Pool was great lacked towels. The bar/food has automatic gratuity added on. The staff didn't explain anything of the amenities of the place. The work station didn't have any ink or paper to print. There is some shopping stores attached like a little mall. We could watch planes land but not hear them which was nice. The digital key on the app failed.
