Whoever was working tonight (5/9/24) and decided to yell at my wife WE CLOSE IN 4 MINUTES, HURRY UP! as she walked in the door can count their lucky stars I wasn’t there with her. We will never shop at this DG ever again.

This location is nearest my home and has been my 'go to' store since moving to this area three years ago. Unfortunately, I now drive out of my way to another Dollar General to avoid the disrespectful and rude attitude of the current manager. This manager never greets me, never smiles, and has even argued with me concerning the $5 off $25 or more on Saturdays. I asked her to use the coupon kept at the register. She started to say she did not have one, but an associate at the other register handed it to her. She asked if I had the Dollar General app. I said I did. Her reply, "If you have that, you automatically get the $5 off. You CANNOT have two discounts." There was a line behind me, so I didn't question or argue. In my car, I looked at the app. You have to go into the app and choose the discount - it is not automatic. She cost me $5.00 that day. On another day, I was taking time out of the house, and was looking around this Dollar General. I had chosen a couple items I needed. I was in the store, maybe 15 minutes, when I noticed I was being followed and watched by three associates. They thought they were being clever by handing me off to each other. Considering I worked for JCPenney for 15 years and managed a Beall's Store for three years, I could have taught them a great deal about security. That was the last time I shopped at that store. There is another Dollar General on Lytle Way, 1.2 miles from me. It is worth the drive to be greeted with a smile, and treated with respect while shopping.

The store was neat, fully stocked with nothing blocking the aisles and the associate was very friendly and helpful.

I really don't care to shop at this location. Everything is so disorganized. They really need to hire some folks that have an eye for detail, as well as a sense of organization about themselves. People who are proficient, responsible and timely.

I have been using this location for years because of its convenient location relative to my house. This last experience was terrible. One: the POS system receipt dispenser was messed up and incorrectly printed my receipt. Normally this would not be an issue, but the cashier forgot to put an item in my bag. Which brings me to two: when I went back into the store for my missing item there was no way other than item count to discern whether or not I was lying. And three: the employee was incredibly insistent that she had not scanned the item and then proceeded to scoff towards me when they finally decided just to give me the item. After feeling lesser than what I feel I should have been treated I set the item back down and walked out of the store. I sincerely hope it was worth losing a customer over an energy drink. Go to the ambler location or Wal-Mart instead if you live on the northeast side of abilene.
