Welcome to review, if you want to be scammed of price of rental cars, you can rent anytime. What they offer is lets you hook for small price then after that when you went to pick up, they won’t have those cars, at least that’s what they told you like you are blinded inside glass room. Then they offer you upgrades, in the end they will give you same car or similar car what you booked.😂 it’s kind of funny, they can ask that extra money before hand why they take approach, I don’t know. Let’s hope I won’t be part of these weird situation next time😅

Be VERY careful reading your receipt after you rent from this place. I rented a 2024 Nissan Versa (estimated 32 city/40 hwy MPG) and filled up the tank with 3.2 gallons at the Costco 7.5 miles away. I got a charge of 3 gallons worth of fuel a few days after my return. How did this happen? I sure hope it was an innocent clerical error instead of a nefarious falsification of documentation scheme by a shifty company.

Ok, let me start this review by stating Dollar. Thrifty and Herntz rental cars are one entity and in the same building at IAD. I have rented from Herntz many times and felt like it was top-tier; however, I chose to rent from thrifty . Supposably, the counter person at check-in was a supervisor she was very tired, dry, and unpolite. I had just gotten off from a 13-hour shift , in which I possessed a positive attitude. I didn't get the car I pre-ordered online that was already pre-paid for. It was a bad experience, and I have mixed emotions about the encounter.

The agent named Valentina was very kind, patient and very helpful. She answered all of my questions and eased my concerns she went the extra mile and walked me to the parking space for my rental. I was so happy and please with the customer service Valentina provided to me today! It left a great impression on me….Shirley

I've never had a car rental company that doesn't have any cars. I'm now waiting with about 30 other people who also had reservations for someone to return their car. I've never experienced such incompetent management at Dollar. This shouldn't happen in the most important airport in the world. Last time I had to take a vehicle from Hertz that was twice as expensive. In the same room/building. If you book 7 days in advance, this can't happen!! This problem only seems to occur at IAD. It has always worked perfectly at all other Dollar branches. See my other reviews..
