**Update: I urge all potential customers to read the complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. The displayed disregard to quality, safety, over charging is shocking. My BBB complaint response from Dollar was not acceptable. Our rental car was nothing short of dangerous. At pick up, I noticed one tire looked strange, but never expected it would disintegrate while driving on a highway. Nor did I expect the spare would be equally as destroyed and unusable. The topper was the fact that the car caused a total shut down of the TN highway and a $430 tow. This car put our lives and others in danger when it disintegrated while driving. $725 for a 4 day rental for this piece of junk, a tow and lives put in danger. Dollar should be ashamed for renting this.

Upon arrival, there was a line, so while I waited, I attempted to check in online. I went through the process fine but still needed to be seen at the counter for further "verification." At the counter, I was greeted by a tall, slender, fair skinned male who attempted to process my payment. The payment did not decline but was unable to process. I am on a company trip, so I reached out to my admins for assistance , and there were no errors within the system for my bank. I attempted a few more times at the counter while I waited for my company admins to contact the bank. Each time, I was asked to upgrade (to which I declined). After connecting with Hotwire (whom I booked through) and they were unable to assist, I received work from my administrators to try once more before canceling the reservation. This time, it was approved. The representative was different and informed me after speaking with another associate that he's seen this before because customers choose not to upgrade. There were never any declines or pending charges within my recent activity (and I was there for NEARLY 2 HOURS). I don't know who is at fault here if it was truly a a system error (which no other customer had issues before/after me), or if the representative that was handling me initially was not processing my payment in efforts to swindle me into an upgrade. Highly unethical and unprofessional behavior that should be looked into/reprimanded. The car is dirty looking on the outside & the interior is damaged inside & very dusty. I'll post an update on checkout once I get there.

When we picked up the vehicle it was in a dark, wet, and warm car garage. It was late at night and pouring. When the car did get cold we cranked the heat and the smell of weed permeated the air, our clothes, hair, etc. by next morning when the sun rose we could see marijuana ashes all over the vehicle. The manager on site offered back half of what we paid due to our prepay online. That’s why I gave back one star. However, the corporate company website said I’d hear back in a few days but I never got a response. We rented this car to attend an interview. It’s not wise to report to an interview smelling like weed. Very disappointed. The ashes were EVERYWHERE.

This place has terrible reviews, so let me share our positive experience. We were on a work trip so had to get 2 different cars within the week. Both times we checked in on our phones and took less than 5 min. Once you check in on your phone you will be told what spot to go to, find your car with the keys in it and drive away. Don’t have to speak to anyone to wait in any line. It is really the best. If you get a message saying your car “isn’t ready”, just walk up to the counter in the rental garage and an employee will quickly assist you. When you return, you just have to park and walk away. The price seemed fair compared to all the others, renting cars is just not what it use to be. I would recommend dollar/thrifty/hertz (they’re all connected at this airport).

Checked in online to skip the line, went to the garage as directed to find an empty booth. Spoke to the Hertz car rental booth which was actually staffed and found out the dollar garage booth is never staffed and myself, along with others that checked in online would have to go back into the airport and wait in the extremely long line to get our rental. Definitely won't be using Dollar again.
