Check-in area has an east and west entry, but it's all connected. A little crazy at the lines for the TSA pre-check (a lot of aisles so moves relatively quickly). Scan was easy. Facility was bright and big - really long terminals. You can spend a lot of time walking down; grab food in the middle area first and then head over. They have a train to take you from the check-in terminal to Terminals A,B,C. Still, mostly modern facilities and a good selection of food - not a bad stop. Wish it had a Chase Sapphire Lounge, though.

Terminal A has an older, darker and stinker side and then there’s the annex at the end of the airport which is beautiful, new and spacious. Almost feels like two different terminals. The older side of the airport and lower part of the airport where you take the train to go to the baggage claim is fairly stinky - like a subway in Chicago or New York City. But I would still recommend taking the go to the baggage claim otherwise it’s a 10 minutes walk from Terminal A.

Busy airport and they still have the nasty carpet from the early days from 20 some years ago. The layout is weird, and some parts don’t make any sense. A lot of things seem like an afterthought. The vibe too is strange. It’s like someone released randomly a bunch of semi homeless people. You’ll see passengers are racing like goats in narrow passages and this is an international airport🐀 This airport is beyond nasty. There is Diarrhea alley paradise, starting with Panda Express. There is trash everywhere but they don’t care they serve food as if trash is very healthy for humans. Trash on the floor and overfilled bins. Then the airport was build prior to smart phones. There are less than 80 outlets over the entire airport and charging is slow because their electrical is garbage. If you locate an outlet, you should consider yourself a genius. The infrastructure and equipment is over 25 years old. They have informational kiosks from the 90’s and screens that remind you the 90’s of that of the 80’s. This airport should compete with dinosaurs. The smell is totally like a mix of homeless and tweaker shenanigans. It must be even worse than LaGuardia lol

Excellent airport. If you are in the A terminal, head to gate A-14. Beautiful little outdoor patio. Great place to watch the sunset over the Rockies! It is a smoking area, but many times I have had it to myself. An excellent little lounge for the rest of us!

It's a bit confusing finding your luggage. A high-speed tram ride gets you to your luggage once you get accustomed to the signage. Oversize bags are separately retrieved by airline employees from a locked room. Rental cars are received after a ride on a shuttle provided by the individual rental companies. I highly recommend having your car rented prior to your flight. *The company we used kept recommending we upgrade to an SUV for more room to travel. It turned out that they only had one Challenger with a cracked windshield. We had reserved two Challengers, one for each family.
