It was a really good hotel for the price, everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, got a good shower time. The restaurant part also is a little bit cozy and the food was good, dinner and breakfast. People working there are giving good service and smiling. I do recommend it, it's close to the airport with a shuttle deserving it.
I stayed at Delta Hotels Detroit Airport before a very early morning flight. Given the reasonable price, I was surprised at how nice the hotel was. The room was clean and quiet, although I could hear people in other rooms while I was in the hallway. The front desk person who checked me in was professional enough, but gave the impression she couldn't be bothered with me. There was no one at the desk when I checked out that morning, but that did not seem to cause any issues. The shower was clean and even had a little opening to turn it on with the door closed to keep from getting wet, which I thought was lovely (I'm quite easily amused). There were a plethora of conveniently located outlets and places to plug in USB-A cables, such as a phone charger.
The room was clean and all but the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was musty, and there appeared to be maintenance issues. For example, the ice machine on our floor leaked, and had been leaking for a long while with water stains on the floor and puddles. Forget trying to call the front desk with questions, best to make the long walk there and put up with the surly attitude when you arrive. The dead bolt on the hotel room door was broken. The shower was improperly installed and leaked all over the floor. There was a fridge and coffee machine, but no microwave. The free coffee was old and stone cold in the morning.
Shower was dirty. Bed was nice and big. Bar was good, its food was bad. It seemed like i walked to Ann Arbor to get to my room. I think the service desk rep was new and uninformed. Room and ceiling could use a face lift/ painting. Walls are a bit thin, you can hear your neighbors. Bottom line; never again.
I’ve stayed at almost all the nearby hotels and none compare! After consistently staying at least once a week at the Delta Marriott for about two years now…. I will not stay anywhere else. Being away from home all the time isn’t easy but I know as soon as I walk in I will feel at home for the night. The staff is so friendly!!! Lovely front desk girls and awesome shuttle drivers. I look forward to continuing staying here!
