Dan-o's Döner

Great little spot! The kebab wrap with the sriracha mayo and garlic sauce was amazing. Super tastey fries. Little pricey (but hey, we live in Hawaii). Not much seating, but, again, food was legit - ingredients tasted fresh. Would definitely recommend if you don't mind paying a bit more for quality.
A great place for that quick wrap or a sandwich. Ordered with the chicken breast and the SPL lebanese garlic sauce it was really good. She was a really nice person who gave us some of the best falafels (that's the veggie option) and sandwiches. Variety of sauces available and you also get to sample them! Nice place with a really great vibe. Especially i liked the way the place was set up with chairs, couches and a different vibe of decor. (the spicy veggie sauce is reallly spicy)
Never thought I'd come across a kebab shop in the middle of the big island! This place was set up by a German with a passion for Turkish food (hence the schnitzel on the menu). They use grass fed Big Island beef in all their doner kebabs. The bread is also made fresh daily - do yourself a favor and get the sandwich! The falafel could have been fresher but that's just me being picky. There are a few chairs indoors and a few outdoors. Very casual. Loved it.
This was the FIRST place I ate at when arriving in Kona, and the LAST pace I ate at when leaving. Just AMAZING food, and with portions that would leave you satisfied after the bill. Comparatively speaking with other places in Hawaii, this joint is cheap. The owners, though, are not. They are super friendly, really helpful, and are generous with the meat. They offer Wraps, Sandwiches or plates depending on what you like. Overall, the place is cozy and small, but it has its own charm and fun to it. The prices are fair for Hawaii, and they are all laid out very visibly for you to see and know exactly how much you're paying (some other places like to make these details a little less obvious). All in all, this is one of those rare places where you would WANT to go out of your way to go to, and leave an impression in your memories for years to come.
So whenever I drive through Waimea /Kamuela I stop by and grab me some of the best fresh food around. Now I don't have too much experience with this type of food but the few times I have tried this is easily the best. Why? Because the meat is so soft and flavorful. The veggies they add are so fresh and they put so much! Their falafels are also the best I have tried as well. If you like fries theirs are cooked to order so they are HOT! Last thing is that they have a schnitzel? I have tried it in the past and it resembles katsu...except it isn't quite as good. I would stick to the their original items.
