Craters and Freighters shipped a large painting from DC to New England for me. The service was excellent! They explained the process fully, gave me a clear estimate of cost, called to keep me up to date on when the painting would arrive, packed it in a manner that it was fully protected. Did superb coordination with a local company that picked up the painting from the Craters and Freighters hub nearest to me. The local company, Action Moving and Storage, also was excellent and delivered the painting, removed all the packing materials and brought it into my house, flawlessly. Highest recommendation!!!

Craters and Freighters shipped my family furniture from Maryland to Paris, a complicated process. Laura walked me through it all, with great competence and expertise. She was always available and friendly. When the shipment arrived, I found each object extremely well packed. This company clearly cares about its customers. I highly recommend them.

Craters & Freighters shipped a 1776 Scottish long case clock from my family home in Virginia to my home in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands - 1/2 way around the world. The clock was impeccably packed in a wooden crate and it timely arrived in Saipan without any damage - impressive.

We just shipped an antique dresser with mirror from VA to FL using Craters & Freighters. I was very satisfied with the service, attention to detail, packing, and safe transport. I received excellent service from Laura who worked with me to limit costs as much as possible and who kept me posted at each step of the process.. The company gave me plenty of notice when they picked up the dresser at a storage unit, packed it beautifully and got it safely to its destination.. The recipient was very appreciative and noted how well it was packed and protected. He was also pleased with the local delivery and set up (white glove service). C&F was not the cheapest bid I got to do the job, but had been referred to me by UPS (who said they didn’t transport furniture anymore) and I felt I could trust them with a valued family heirloom. I’m glad I chose them.

I am blown away by the great service I got from Craters and Freighters in Sterling. I had a lot of items to ship domestically and internationally, and the came to the condo, took it all away for packing, wrapped it incredibly carefully (and repacked some of them to cost me the least), and then shipped them out. But the most lovely thing is how they interact with you - they are very responsive, very clear, and very thoughtful. A total pleasure, and made the sad job of managing the estate of a loved one so much easier.
