Look I’m an American who’s been living in Spain for the last nine months and my favorite food is a real New York style bagel. Now, the Spaniards have many amazing qualities but they do not understand the concept of a bagel - most of them tasted like Hawaiian rolls with a circle cut into it; the rest were unmentionable. Even while I embraced and enjoyed many other aspects of the Spanish lifestyle, I grieved that loss every day. So now I’m in San Juan’s for the summer and Lo and Behold there is a genuine New York Cafe with bagels and boy I was nervous - the bready flaccid nightmares that passed for bagels in Spain were still visceral on my tongue. But the guy’s a real stand up New Yorker and i had to run and get cash (grocery store across the street does cashback) and once I did, I got a jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, Vinnie cooked it and from the first bite, that bit of missing NY bagel magic entered my soul again. The perfect crunch, flavor, density. Did I mention the flavor? Really good stuff. Vinnie was really kind and considerate. Amazing bagel. Will absolutely be back during this summer. May pack a few in my next checked bag so that even if it calcifies on the flight back to Spain, I can have at least a remnant of what true Bagel-ness is.

Fantastic slice of pizza from a great guy. Vinnie is a class act. Highly recommend stopping in to help fuel your island adventures.

Walk a few feet into the mall area just off the street and order your pizza or pizza by the slice (or sandwich). We enjoyed our pizza! The crust is thin with a perfect chew. For the cheese with extra thick crust the crust was nice and chewy. Thank you and enjoy!

Forget about it! True New Yoker making amazing pizza. Vinnie was able to sit and chat with us. He's sitting at his window waiting to take your order. Hard to find, worth the wait!

After a 18 hour travel day all I wanted was something quick and to get to the hotel so we thought pizza would be the best option. Literally the most mediocre pizza I’ve ever had in my life I would have rather gone to bed hungry. Guy who I can only assume was the owner was a total jerk to my gf when she asked if he was open as it was about 30 minutes before the posted closing time but the place was totally empty and he was just lounging on two chairs. Crust- horrible, flavorless. Sauce-overly seasoned. Cheese-tasted like plastic.
